A hidden tresure!

This gem of a hotel was very difficult to find, but worth the trouble! Amazing views of the bay were possible due to the ... hilly location. Once found, itīs very short walk down into town. Public transportation allows for a quick return from downtown.

Poor Service at Hotel Ultramar

When we checked in, the room was too small for 2 people (like the size of my closet). We asked about a larger room, which ... was not available. That is fine that the hotel was fully booked, but then at least give us the option to opt out of staying there due to the size of the room. On top of that, the hotel was going to charge us an additional $20 (US $), because they had us listed as only 1 person, not two. They were very unaccommodating and the manager would not even talk to us directly, she relayed all messages and responses to our questions through the front desk host. Her only response was that she was very busy and having a bad day, which is no way to treat paying guests. We ended up leaving without staying and still got billed for one person staying at the hotel. DO NOT RECOMMEND.
