The hotel is a series of cabanas scattered up a hill overlooking Orient Bay. The room was decorated in creole style with ... mosquito netting, french doors ,bright colors, a huge private porch across the front facing the ocean, a kitchenette (with full size coffee maker), flat screen TV and a very high ceiling. The bathroom was large and clean. St. Maarten gets their water from desalinization, but it tastes fine and has no chemical smell or feel. The pool was very nice and was adjoined by a cool bar and great french seafood restaurant. You can rent a car and they delivered it to the hotel in a few minutes. It's about a block to the beach, through a very nice neighborhood. The beach is the best on the island. Lots of places to rent chairs, umbrellas, get great drinks and wonderful lunch. Wind surfers and such are also available. The service was perfect and we will definately go back. Friendly locals who are also polite drivers! Very laid back. Loved it.

The food was terrific. Lots of great seafood, as well as wonderful meat. I don't know how they get such fresh produce. First rate.
