Hotel Indigo...NIce!
Stormchsr Nov 17, 2009
Rather than ramble on, let me note some snippets about the Hotel. Staff was first rate, although I would like them to be a ... bit more informed about the public transportation around the hotel (after all, the hotel is LEED certified!). The rooms were clean, the thermostat was efficient, and kept us comfortable! The hotel is literally blocks from Petco (I can see myself and the missus doing a weekend road trip for Padres games!) as well as being only a short stroll from the Gaslamp District itself. My favorite point was the terrace bar, we went there after getting settled in, and we loved the both the firepits, and the view. Didn't like the prices, though. (really, 9 dollars for a vodka cranberry? I guess you've gone "green" in more than one way!) We really enjoyed our brief stay, and it's a short walk from the Blue Line trolley station, so taking the train is a option, plus San Diego's transportation is pretty good, even on the weekend. We both look forward to going back to this hotel very soon! p.s. make sure you ask for coffee stirrers at the front desk, they did not have them in room!

I open the drapes and am looking over 2nd base of a Padres game, with a giant TV on the back of the scoreboard in case I miss ... something. Immaculate room and the greatest shower yet, like standing in a warm gentle rain. The terry robe too big, though, for this little guy. Tuesday was dog night, patrons bringing their canines to a special upper floor bar for a sniff and greet. Really cool. Parking really steep, but a $10/day lot 2 blocks away in the middle of the restaurant district saves you the fare of lunch for two each day.

i was in sd for a convention, hotel indigo had a great location 5-6blks from convention center. just far enough away from 5th ... ave to be peaceful but only 2min walk to action. spotless new hotel at a fair price. even closer to petco. i would definately go back. this hotel has everything you need, lobby bar and breakfast, very comfortable but not a BIG hotel, do not expect a grand lobby, but much more functional. rooms are really contemporary and beds superb.

Great Hotel!
Jennifer Oct 5, 2009
We very much enjoyed our recent stay at the Hotel Indigo in the Gaslamp District of San Diego. It was in a great location ... (close to trolly, nightlife, ballpark, etc.) and just far enough on the edge of the Gaslamp area that we weren't bothered by the noise of the many clubs and late night partiers. It was a beautiful hotel that was very clean, nicely decorated and the staff was warm, friendly and helpful.

hotel indigo is a beautiful new boutique hotel. The staff was exceptional, they dropped whatever they were doing to help. ... The location was perfect, everything was in walking distance. Also, it was restaurant week, so we got lots of good food at a low price. one of the few areas i think needs attention is the bathroom. They ask that guests reuse their towels, but there are no towel racks on which to dry them. also, the shower head is one of those hand-held models, and the wall mount is loose. That makes it difficult to stay in the stream of water.

Great Hotel, Great Location!
EZE Sep 20, 2009
This hotel is brand new so we expected it to be nice and it was. It was a really great stay. The location is great as it is ... right near PetCo Park and it is situated near the Historic Gaslamp Quarter which has a great nightlife. It also wasn't to far from Balboa Park, the San Diego Zoo and Old Town. The hotel staff was very nice, no problems to report. The room was immaculate and very boutique feeling. I highly recommend this hotel.

JC Sep 8, 2009
Hotel Indigo is located near Petco Park and away from the center of Gaslamp district, which means it's quieter at night. The ... hotel is brand new so everything is spotless (the first time my wife was willing to walk around the room without slippers on). Very contemporary decor. Bed extremely comfortable, though bed linens were slightly rougher than what we're used to. The only complaint we had about this place was the lack of in room safe, though they have a safe at the front desk, so we ended towing the laptop with us during our entire trip to the Wild Animal Park and Sea World.

Perfect hotel for Gaslamp Getaway
Family of Five Aug 17, 2009
We felt welcome from the moment we pulled up at the curb and were greeted by the valet and staff. The property is new and ... sparkling, and the staff is upbeat and dedicated to creating a positive experience for the guests. We immediately felt like we were on vacation, even though we only travelled from South Orange County. The rooms are cleverly appointed and extremely clean. The shower is well-designed, akin to the newer hotels in Europe. We were on a lower floor so didn't have the best view - but nonetheless, an interesting one. The hotel is well-located in the Gaslamp District, and a short walk to Seaport Village. We parked our car upon arrival and had no need to use it during our 2-day stay. It's safe to walk in the district at night. We had two rooms, and our only complaint in each had to do with airflow and temperature. The hotel won an award for environmental conservation, which is probably the reason why the thermostat will not go below 70---which would be OK, if the vent and sensor were centrally placed. As it was, we had blast of cool air, and then long periods of stagnation. It's cool at night, and we opened the window --which worked, after the Gaslamp nightlife and sirens quieted down (in the middle of the night). Nonetheless, we will definitely stay at Hotel Indigo again.

Hotel Indigo San Diego is Sweet
Super frequent hotel room guest Jul 27, 2009
Wonderful Hotel. Ultra sleek, a boutique hotel of the first order. Excellent customer service from everyone I interacted ... with, and I will stay there again. Only small complaint is that I stayed two nights and my room was never made up. Admittedly, I slept in with the "do not disturb" sign on my door and did not leave my room until 11:00am, but I put the "Please Make Up Room" sign on my door when I left. I returned briefly at 5:00pm that night to find the "Please Make Up Room" sign was still there and the room had not been made up. I left again and didn't return until after 11:00pm that night and still the room had never been touched my a maid, nor was there a message from housekeeping asking if I wanted the room made up or fresh towels. The hotel had only been open less that two weeks, so I will let this slide and look forward to better the next time I check in. I'm sure they would have sent housekeeping if I called, but I was busy (business trip) and shouldn't have to contact housekeeping for service.
