if you're just looking for a cheap room

nothing special about the rooms, but good if you are looking for a cheap room in a central location within walking distance ... to most of the tourist areas and public transportation (2 metro lines are 1 block way). The staff were very helpful and accommodating. My only complaint was that the room could have been a bit cleaner (empty beer bottle under the bed).

Good for the Price

The Hotel Europeene was good for the price. As a traveling student, I did not expect much, nor was very much offered. The ... room was quite small and featured few, if any, amenities, but its location made up for what it lacked. It was very close to a metro, restaraunts, and bars. The garage parking was also at a very reasonable price. But they had a strange guest policy.

A very short walk from a 3 Bros Brasserie (a canadian chain, i beleive) but had mulitilevel seating, including a great roof top deck good for people watching. Simple and very well priced food and microbrews.
