Nice room in a good location

Very nice little hotel near the Opera district and Plaza Mayor. Location was good for Metro access to explore Madrid. The ... Oriente was not overly fancy, but was clean and the staff were helpful and friendly.

Comfortable, clean, and convenient

The gentleman at the front desk was very polite and helpful. We found the room to be very clean and comfortable with a good ... bathroom. Very convenient access to the Plaza Mayor, Royal Palace, and more. Since we had only one day in the city, we enjoyed being able to find many highlights of the city, including the Reina Sofia and Prado museums, in walking distance from the hotel.

Make your way out to the Reina Sofia and Prado museums. Picasso's "Guernica" is featured in the Reina Sofia. The Prado is closed on Mondays.

Review of Hostal Oriente Madrid

Hostal Oriente has tiny rooms (especially the single rooms like mine) but this was expected. Everything was clean and tidy, ... and the staff was friendly and helpful even though their English was very limited. The facility is in excellent repair and obvious effort and TLC has been put into its upkeep. Location is great for proximity to downtown Madrid sights. I would definitely stay again.
