Chosen for the location. Walking to Metro rail station, walking to medical appointment. Very clean, room pleasant with good ... air conditioning unit. Just stayed overnight, room was quiet. Room small but with adequate kitchen refrig and micro that I did not use.

Good location, okay room
Citychic78 Oct 23, 2009
My mom and I went to Houston to go to a concert. The staff was friendly and they did update our room to a suite because my ... mom has trouble going up and down stairs since she has a bad knee. The room was clean, but the bed was (which was supposed to be a queen, actually was a twin) hard and very uncomfortable. My mom had the sofa bed which was also uncomfortable and the mattress slanted down. Housekeeping did not clean our room. We were threre for two days. You have to go to the front desk to get clean towels. I guess because it's an extended stay motel, they only clean on certain days. I definitely would not recommend.

The Houston Metro (train) was very close...it takes you downtown within blocks of Minute Maid Park and the Toyota Center. A short drive, about 4-5 miles, is the Rice University area. Lots of Great restaurants and bars i.e. The Ginger Man

Not a good choice
Uptown Girl Oct 5, 2009
Hotel lobby closes at 9pm, inconvenient to check in after that time; the room smelled of super strong air freshener to cover ... up the smell of smoke. This hotel is in the medical district, but I would make another choice when returning to Houston. There was no one available by phone when I had a question at 10pm, no one available at 8AM when I checked out.

Bed Bugs Hotel
Cristian Domecg May 11, 2009
I've made the checq in last sunday may 3rd on room 270. When i wake up on moday, i've realized my bed was full of bugs and ... blood. I've being bited one hole night for those disgusting bugs. But it doesn't end.I've called the front desk at 7:00 AM and the manager was not there. The phone attendant informed he would arrive in half an hour. One hour later i've called him, telling that i had an emergency and the answer was that he could be there in half an hour. After that i went by myself to the reception and asked for the manager telling that the city's hotels were crowd because of the OTC conference and i woul'n't like to stay at that hotel for obvious reasons.I was chocked with the manager's attitude and his words: Your reservation is canceled, if you don't have a hotel to stay it's not my problem and leave my hotel.[...]

Horrible Hotel
Upset mom Apr 29, 2009
This was a horrible hotel. It is in a VERY bad part of town and when we checked in at 9 pm they had closed the front desk so ... I had to stand outside and wait. Once I did get checked in and to a room my son found that the toilet was broken (as well as many other items in the room) so I had to call down and once again wait for someone to come. They did trade me rooms and this one was so dirty it looked like it hadn't been cleaned in months. There was hair on the floor and broken electrical outlets. I would not recommend this hotel to ANYONE.

The Worst hotel we have ever had!!!!!!!!
Suzanne Apr 22, 2009
First of all we show up at the hotel and the clerk tells us that we do NOT have a reservation but that they have a ... reservation for Steve Bugugu (which is my daughters boyfriend). We never did find out how this happened and she still would not let us check in. We even called Orbitz and got a customer service person (female) that could not understand what we were asking. Finally I pulled out my labtop and showed the clerk my confirmation which actually did show Steve Bugugu even though we paid with Steve Mainwaring's AX card. The clerk was extremely rude and we had to wait one hour for our room. My husband was scheduled for surgery the following morning....and this was completely unacceptable. I would NEVER go there again. There was mold in the bathroom, and the refrigerator was leaking. The stove top had not been cleaned and the beds were sagging.

Great Location
robyn Apr 22, 2008
Homestead Houston - Med. Ctr. - Reliant Pk. Great Location, close to the Houston Metro, close to Rice University ... (excellent restaurants and bars). One can tell that this is an older property, however for the price it is an excellent value. The Front Desk staff were all very friendly, accommodating, and knowledgeable about this particular area of Houston.
