Visited son who lives in Hollywood. Did some site seeing. Hptel was great, the breafast buffet was good but over priced. The ... diner in the hotel was over priced for the quality of the food. The accomodation was very good.

We picked a Saturday night when EVERYTHING was going on in Hollywood and Los Angeles: two sports events, a "Thriller" ... dance-a-thon, Day of the Dead at the Cemetery - everything, so traffic was more horrible than usual (I'm a Hollywood native). The room was over the street and noisy; the drapes leaked light; the feather pillows were lumpy; the A/C was noisy and inefficient (I was hot). The sticker price for parking was a shock, since I thought "we" would get it free! However, I slept well the second night, and was quite comfortable in the room and with the staff. If I had been there to crawl the Hollywood "scene", it would have been perfect, since the pedestrians are what make the place what it is!. I would stay there again, and take earplugs.

You probably need a regular map, too, so you can figure out whether you will be affected by what's going on at the Hollywood Bowl, Staples Center, the movie theaters, or even Glendale, or any other neighborhood, for that matter - Beverly Hills, Sunset Strip, or Downtown...

Have stayed here several times for work. Great staff, rooms are clean, love the pool. Fitness center is small, but clean and ... functional. Try to stay on the side of the hotel facing the parking lot/pool. Lots of traffic noise on the street side of the hotel.

The Hollywood Heights Hotel was a pleasant experience. It's a 5-minute walk from Hollywood & Highland. The beds are very ... comfortable and the sheets and linens were high-quality - down comforter and all! The staff is super friendly, and the rooms are clean and quiet. I would definitely stay here again. The down-side is that parking is $20 per day (self-parking), and $22 per day (valet). This seems ridiculous. I know LA likes to charge for hotel parking, but it should have been $15 max.
