I have never had a room so small. The room measured 7 feet wide by 12 feet long. We barely had room for our luggage. This is ... no exageration. We had to put a trash can under a night stand and the chair in the bathroom so we would have room for our 2 bags and were barely able to move around each other. Other than that the room was clean and the staff were friendly.

Learn how to use the subway system and the city is yours. We walked everywhere the first couple of days so we wouldn't miss anything. We started using the subway later to save time and wear and tear. There are so many stops, you can go from anywhere to anywhere else quickly. The Visit Pass is a good deal but make sure you read the rules. The clock starts ticking the first time you use it.

Excelent value for money, clean & decent rooms (a bit small), good service and great location if you plan to use the metro. ... It was muuuch better than many 4 star hotels in Europe (and it is registered as a 3 star). No complains at all. I will come back for sure

Ask for the breakfast coupon for 10 euros. The regular price is 15 euros for a decent non-expensive buffet. Great deal

We stayed there for a 7 nights.Room was very small with just coffee maker and hair dryer no iron for the clothes.Service was ... OK however they need learn how to knock to the door. They just want to get in without knocking first. The worse part was that 200$ was missing from the safe after talking to manager(that was maybe 24 years old) he said that there is only one thing that he can do for us witch is calling the police that was 400 ft away from hotel. Not a I`m sorry or here it`s a free breakfast or something like that. Will not go to the same hotel ever! For more deatels you can e mail me at [@]

I'd Recommend Staying Here
Chris Sep 8, 2009
I just got back from 10 days in Paris and stayed at this hotel and would highly recommend it. While I didn't spend much ... time in and around the neighborhood, I had easy subway access to other parts of Paris. I had read some other comments about noise because the hotel sits directly across the street from the Gare d'Est train station, but I didn't have any problems with noise and slept like a baby. The hotel didn't have the charm of the other, smaller hotels I'd stayed at in Paris, but my room was spacious, similar to American hotel rooms It was highly functional hotel. The staff was very helpful and very friendly and all spoke English. It is a bargain for its price. My main complaint was that I didn't get my wake-up call (the only one I made) on my last day, which put me in some jeopardy of missing my plane, but I woke up on my own early enough to get to the airport. And one other complaint was that instead of getting a room with one double-bed, I was in a room with two twin beds. I would highly recommend this hotel.

My Experience in Paris
Cheap Traveler Aug 25, 2009
The hotel is in a great location. I enjoyed that it was not right in the middle of all the tourist areas but it was close ... enough to get everywhere. I do not recommend walking to the tourist part such as the Eiffel Tower, Louvre, Notre-Dame because you'll do enough walking at walking at each location. Take the Metro everywhere, it's fast and simple. The hotel was clean and employees were friendly. They have happy hour a few hours a day. Everyone speaks English. There are restaurants, bakeries, and markets around the hotel. I was in Paris 5 days and was able to go to visit all the tourist areas including Versailles. Everything is pretty close to each other. For example the Louvre is next to the Osay, Jardin De Tuleries, Place De La Concord and Madeline. The only place that was about 45 minutes away(but worth it) was Chateau Versaille. On the way to Versaille you can see the mini statue of liberty along the river. Everything is pretty expensice in Paris so I thought the price is pretty reasonable.

The rooms are very clean and modern, but very much on the small side! The hotel staff were very friendly - there was a cot in ... our room when we arrived late at night, the receptionist quickly arranged for the barman to move it as there were no other staff available! They were more than happy to give us directions several times and could not have been more helpful. We stayed 4 nights and used the open top bus to get around as it was our first visit to Paris. The stop is just around the corner from the entrance, which was very handy. However, the area around the hotel was not very appealing at night, but the Metro stop is literally at the front door. Also loved the fact that there were foreign sockets built in - no need for travel adapters - genius!!

Gare De L'Est
France is just OK, nothing special Aug 14, 2009
This hotel was decent, but by American standards, it was less than adequate. The hotel had some positives. It had a staff ... that spoke english and were friendly. The location was superb; it had two train stations nearby: Gare De L'est (which takes you to eastern Europe), and it had Gare De Nord (which takes you to northern Europe). The subway access was right in front of the hotel, and the subway in Paris is cheap and is great transportation. However, the restaurant was very tight like all of Europe. Real estate is scarce. Rooms are very small and have terrible A/C (Parisians, like most non-USA countries, don't believe in A/C) My wife and I had to ask for 3 different rooms because their rooms had terrible air compressors that wouldn't work. The last room we stayed in had decent A/C but very sub-par compared to the US standards. The elevators smelled, and would close after 2 seconds. (there were no sensors, so if there was more than one person getting in, forget it and take the next one, or you'll get smushed and it hurts.) They had no hotel restaurant only some breakfast buffet area. The breakfast wasn't very good, and there food wasn't hot, and drinks were not cold (like most of Paris), the only food you could eat was through room service(which included raw ham and beef, and just not very appetizing. Although, if from Paris, you might like that nastiness). The restaurants around the hotel were $$$$$$ as well. Basically, get ready to spend high dollar for food that is terrible. Bread and pastries in those restaurants were excellent, however. Also, the bed is very hard in the hotel room, unless you enjoy sleeping on rock hard beds, I don't recommend sleeping on them. All in all the hotel, was decent for what we paid and had great proximity to getting around the city. However, after visiting the Louvre, Eiffel Tower, etc........the people smell/smoke a lot, the food sucks (unless you're French), they have no A/C anywhere and I just don't think I will ever go back to France.

The best restaurant in that area, is a family-owned Italian restaurant that has excellent pizzas and lasagna. It's around 9 to 14 Euros and is only a 5 minute walk to the left of the hotel once you walk out of the hotel lobby. Very tasty, and good prices.

We stayed at this hotel for 8 nights. Gotta admit that the rooms look much bigger on the website, but in true reality they're ... very small. Very good location for the train system which allowed for us to be able to go pretty much all over PARIS!!! Breakfast at this hotel was not worth the money paid for. But overall I would have to say that it was ok. Not too bad, but not great!!

The rooms are small but everything is small in Paris and the price "the best". The rooms were clean, front desk was very ... helpful on everything. I did not expend much time on the hotel, only nights. You got everything you need around: restaurants, pharmacies, metro station (tickets), taxis, restaurants, banks. You are middle of everything (10 to 20 minutes on metro to any place) We got three rooms, we got a A/C problem with one of the rooms but they sent somebody right away. I will be back next time.

Stayed at the hotel for four nights. As mentioned by others, easy trip to CDG airport. I didn't see anything wrong with the ... location: 15-20 min walk to the Seine/ center city. Rooms were clean, didn't spend much time in the room, so the small size didn't bother us. Staff was friendly. Breakfast was 15 euro, but who would eat at the hotel (expensive services are a given at any hotel) when you're in Paris? Great value for the money paid.

We really liked the hotel, although the rooms were very small. They cleaned the rooms everyday, the staff was very helpful. I ... probably would have liked it better if breakfast was included. As such, the breakfast that they did offer was very expensive, and we chose not too eat at the hotel. We didn't think it was noisy at all. We enjoyed our stay at the hotel very much.

Don't eat at the hotel, there are plenty of 'brasseries' close by, especially by Gare de Nord, where the food is great, and the price is much lower.
