Great Value and Convenient Location
lk Oct 26, 2009
Great value and location in close proximately to Heathrow. Room was very comfortable and clean. Staff was helpful with ... airport transfer arrangements. This hotel is on the Hotel Hoppa line which provides economical airport transfers. The hotel arranged an alternate service for my very early morning return to the airport. I thought the hotel restaurant could offer a few lighter, more reasonably priced dinner options. Overall, the Holiday Inn Ariel provided exactly what I was looking for - a comfortable room close by the airport for early departure. I would definitely return when connecting through London Heathrow.

Good for the price
MO Oct 13, 2009
Been to London many times previously and even so working out the public transportation was a little tricky - to Heathrow is ... free on the London buses that go there (ie no need to use the Hotel Hoppa - just cross the street to the right of the hotel) but to Central London the bus stop to Hatton Cross station is a ways off. Planes a little noisy and breakfast 10GBP but can get similar breakfast @ other places (including Heathrow) for less

To get to the hotel, you do not take the regular bus, but the Hotel Hoppa--which is not clear in the instructions I received. I made a useless trek at the airport to the central bus terminal only to be told that I needed to go back to where I had coem from to catch the Hotel Hoppa.

Ask about any promotions that might save you money when checking in if you need wireless in your room or would prefer a cab instead of the shuttle to Heathrow. We did and lucked out, but the promos were not free; they were just much more economical.

MOJOEHILO Sep 19, 2009
o.k. for an overnight, before or after your flight. quiet rooms. they gave us a horrible room first, then i complained and ... we were put in a satisfactory one. the "hints" we read on this website were helpful, when it came to getting around on the free bus to the underground/airport etc.

For a good night's sleep
Kathleen Aug 13, 2009
I had just arrived from Italy and was due to fly trans-Atlantic the next day so I was tired and hungry. I was able to get a ... good, hot meal at a decent price and sleep soundly on a very comfortable bed until the next morning. The breakfast was more than ample and enabled me to subsist on airline food throughout my trip back to the states.

Had a Nice Stay
Cristini Jul 31, 2009
I wanted to be close to the airport and to cheap transport to Central London so the Ariel was great. There was a free bus to ... the LHR central station where we could catch the Tube and in 40 min be downtown. We bought day passes for the Tube after 9:30am for L7.50--half the peak time price--and could go anywhere between the airport and city center. Made sight seeing easy and affordable!

We always stay a night in London when we fly in or fly back to America due to the 3 hour train ride to or from our relatives ... in Wales We only stayed one night at this hotel, but were extremely please. So close to Heathrow & couldn't hear one plane fly overhead. We'll be back !

ok for a night
Terry Oct 1, 2007
Hotel is very conveniently located for Heathrow. We stayed one night before a very early am flight and it was fine. Would not ... stay any longer as the area around it is either other hotels or businesses. There is no where decent to eat within walking distance and the hotel dining room was overpriced, even for the UK.

Vimi Aug 6, 2007
This hotel was good value, but I would not book here again because of the distance from central london, which is where I ... spent my time. It took us 50 minutes each way by tube and bus to get to our destinations daily. I stayed here because I could not find a better deal, but maybe I should have looked longer.

My review of Holiday Inn LONDON-HEATHROW ARIEL
Andrei Aug 3, 2007
The Holiday Inn LONDON-HEATHROW ARIEL is a decent option for Heathrow travelers. The room was clean and surprisingly large. ... Hotel staff were friendly and knowledgeable. Breakfast was absolutely wonderful but incredibly expensive - 14.95 pounds per person was not what I had gotten used to paying for during the rest of the trip. There is a bar downstairs near the front lobby which was comfortable. Overall, the hotel seems to cater more toward business travelers.

Nice hotel--bed too small
EDDIE Jul 8, 2007
My only complaint is that the bed was too small for 2 people. I don't understand why in Europe the room can be very nice but ... they shrink the bed and make the sleeping experience less satisfying. The quality of the hotel, room, etc. was just great....they should avoid double beds and go to queen size beds for rooms for 2 people.

Friendly helpful staff
Margaret Jul 8, 2007
Holiday Inn LONDON-HEATHROW ARIEL was quiet, comfortable and well managed. The room was small but had everything you needed ... and it was clean. The staff was very helpful and were able to give directions to the buses and tube. The hotel is just across the street from the bus that takes you to the tube to get into London. It was close to the airport making it good for early morning travel.

Besides the hotel restaurant there is few other restaurants around, but there was a quick market that had prepared food that were good for a family or someone on a tight budget. This was just a short walk away or you could use the bus.

Convenient
Ebony Jul 2, 2007
This hotel was located in very close proximity to the airport. The shuttle was 4 pounds each way, and the gentlemen driving ... the shuttle were very nice and extremely helpful. Upon arriving at the hotel I was requested to run my credit card, which I have never been requested to do. I was very disappointed with the condition of the hallway, and the fact that the evening menu was expensive and left much to be desired. In spite of these disappointments I found the room to be very comfortable and clean (except for a hair I found on the floor in the bathroom). If I need to stay close to Heathrow in the future, I would consider staying in this hotel again.

Close to Heathrow Airport
Britt May 20, 2007
The Holiday Inn Heathrow is very close to the airport, requiring only a short shuttle-bus ride to Heathrow. The room was ... reasonably sized and the menu from the restaurant, while not extensive, was enough to satisfy a small family for our overnight stay. Amenities are few; this is primarily a place to stay for those with early flights out of Heathrow rather than a destination location.

Tessa Apr 13, 2007
This hotel is a great location if you need to go to the airport. The bus is also a great way to get to the airport. It was ... very clean and had almost everything that you would need. I would recommend putting hair dryers in the bathroom. Overall I had a wonderful stay and would come back any time.
