At check-in, we discovered it was $10/night for parking which was located in a small and cramped parking garage. The room was ... adequate (suite with 2 double beds) though you could tell it was in need of renovation. There were the usual carpet issues but the main light in the bedroom did not work, there was no maintenance staff on duty and there were no other comparable rooms available to transfer. On the plus side, there was ample lighting in both rooms, more than normal in hotels.

Hotel was not well maintained, and was not felt as a safe location. Parking is open and unsecured place, and guests assumes ... all the risk. Outsiders can easierly enter the hotel without any security check, especially from the parking area. They still charged $10 per night.

The rooms were spacious and the staff was friendly. We had expected to walk to most of our anticipated activities, but had to ... drive to most. Maps of Richmond in the lobby helped put things in perspective. Maps on the internet were deceiving.

Holiday Inn Express on Cary Street in Richmond was a great location for attending a convention at the Richmond Convention ... Center. the walk tot he center was not far and there were lots of diners near by. the hotle was every clean and in great shape. the morning breakfasts were really good, with variety like eggs, biscuits and gravy, warm cinnamom rolls, etc. The staff were helpful, friendlay and very professional.

Hotel wasn't bad. Very basic, nothing special. They did not offer a shuttle and did not have a newspaper. The room was big. ... Clean. Would stay again for the price.

The Holiday Inn Express Downtown was comfortable and in a really good location for those interested in going downtown in the ... night time. The staff was quick to get us through check in, especially since there were a lot of people checking in, and our room was very clean.

Being on Cary St. you can walk a couple of blocks or pay $10 for a taxi ride. I would recommend going to the Tobacco Company.

The Holiday Inn Express in Richmond, VA on Cary Street was very comfortable, the room seemed much larger than most with a ... desk area and a table and two chairs. The location was very good -- located close to Carytown, the VCU campus and downtown.

My sister and I were very pleased with the size of our room and the cleanliness. We both believe it was more spacious than ... any other Holiday Inn we have ever stayed in. Plenty of room to dress and move around. Staff was quite friendly AND accomodating.
