This is an awesome hotel. The room was really clean and nicely decorated. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The ... breakfast bar was well stocked and everything tasted good. The only drawback was the walls are a little thin and we could hear the couple next door talking.

We had a great time during our stay in Jacksonville Beach. The hotel was in tip top shape and the staff was always helpful ... and friendly. We didn't spend much time in the room during the day as we were enjoying the beach! But when we did come back to the room the A/C cooled us off and the comfy bed helped us to relax which was great since the weather was upper 90's and high humidity.. normal Florida weather I guess! We did swim in the pool one night and the water was perfect. Our highlight was watching the 4th of July fireworks from the pier while standing on the beach. We enjoyed breakfasts of eggs, omelets, bacon, sausage, biscuits and gravy, cereal, juice, etc.. It always hit the spot after a good nights rest. The hotel is about a 10 minute walk from the beach, but they also offer a free shuttle that runs on demand as long as a driver is available. We did have a rental car, but took advantage of the shuttle to avoid needing to find a parking spot. I can't knock the hotel for not being right on the beach because they do the best they can to accommodate getting you there! If we ever head to Jacksonville Beach again this Holiday Inn Express will be at the top of our list.
