The room was great, we even were upgraded due to a cleaning mixup. The hotel was non-smoking which was great, but they let ... everyone congregate at the pool/hot tub area to smoke instead of outside the hotel area 25 feet away.

I had no car, so they shuttled me to a great local diner for dinner two blocks away during a rain storm (there is only a ... breakfast buffet, no on site dining.) There is a steak house in the parking lot, too. The hotel is about a ten minute ride to TPA airport, with shuttles to the airport on the hour, and even closer to the Yankees Spring training grounds and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers stadium. I didn't have a chance to check out the fitness center or the pool. The room was huge and had a microwave and mini refrigerator. If I ever need to stay in the area, I will go here!

Comfortable one night stay

Our stay was very brief. We arrived at about 11 pm and checked out the next morning at 5:30 am. Check in was easy and the ... staff was friendly enough. The interior of the hotel was nice and comfortable and our room was very large comparative to other hotels I've stayed in. I've stayed at Hyatt's and Hilton's recently with much smaller rooms.. I wasn't sure what to do with all the room... The beds were comfortable enough, the room appeared clean enough, but the only downside was that there was a smell in the room I couldn't quite place. It wasn't old smoke or anything, but a mild off smell I didn't enjoy. We weren't really in the room long enough to complain about it. The hotels in a GREAT location in relation to Raymond James Stadium and George Steinbrenner field. I would probably stay here again if I needed to stay in the area again.

We enjoyed our stay at this hotel although the bed and pillows were not the best. (worst pillows I've ever slept on). The ... hotel is located next to an excellent resturant and several blocks from the Tampa Bay Football team stadium. The hotel is fairly new and well kept and the staff very helpful

The Holiday Inn Express was very nice. I would recommend it to all my family and friends. The staff was very nice. The ... breakfast buffet was excellent, constant care was taken to make sure everything was okay.
