Girls Getaway
KIM Apr 22, 2008
The Holiday Inn Scottsdale was exceptional. The suite style room was more than we expected and more room than the three of ... us have had in our past travels. The pool was fantastic, very clean and a garden like appeal. There were plenty of chairs and clean towels every day we were there. The outside bathroom was close and very clean. There wasn't a restaurant in the hotel, however that was not an issue to us as we chose from the 100's of fabulous local restaurants to dine at. The hotel was located near old town for great shopping, and only about 15 min from Phoenix Sky Harbor Airport, which the hotel provided the convenience of shuttle service. All in all... I would not concider staying anywhere else.

Shopping - Old town is near by, maybe a mile. Great southwest jewelry and lots of highend art galaries. Dinning - Roy's for a ritzy restaurant the meatloaf is to die for. Short drive North on Schottsdale Rd. Nightlife - Barcalona is a must see, eating, bars located inside and out and a dance floor. The Bentleys are line up out front.

Great Location
Doug Mar 22, 2008
The Holiday Express Scottsdale is very well located, a short walk to Old Scottsdale Town and only a five minute walk to the ... Scottsdale Stadium, spring training home for the Giants. The suite we had was very good. The only complaint that I have is that the mattresses should be replaced and the stopper in the sink is gone. I bought this to the attention of one of the maintence men and he kind of ignored me as to the fact it did'nt seem important to him. The Front Desk staff were very helpful and efficient. Afternoon Happy Hour was fun and a great way to meet people. I would definetly recommend.

Convenient location
Frances Nov 29, 2007
The hotel is conveniently located right at the southend of Old Scottsdale, but not walking distance, on Scottsdale Road, the ... main throughfare to attractions. Does not include a restaurant but chain and better restaurants are close by. It is relatively new with very pleasant staff. A good value which includes a nice breakfast and wine hour in the early evening. Room was clean and pleasant includes a ref and microwave. Would stay there again.

Need a car if staying at this hotel. Then, Scottsdale Road can be used as your focal point to get to restaurants, botanical garden, Frank Lloyd Wright home, etc. Makes driving simple.

Beautiful Clean Room
Marlena Nov 24, 2007
Staff was very friendly and helpful. The room was clean and the bed was very comfortable. The suite was very roomy with a ... couch, chairs and desk. I really liked having a separate bedroom from the livingroom. The breakfast bar had everything you'd want for breakfast. From hot oatmeal to cold cereal and waffles and french toast. The only dissappointment was that the pool was closed because of construction. The location of the hotel was within walking distance to shops and restaurants. I would recommend this hotel highly.

Perfect when visiting my daughter
Camille Oct 2, 2007
We found this hotel a few years ago. We don't even bother to look for other hotels when going to Phoenix because this hotel ... is only about 2 miles from my daughter's home and it is close to shopping and restaurants. This was the first time that I had a balcony and I just loved that. I could sit outside and read my book and not have to take the elevator and go out by the pool for frest air. I hope I can get this type of room on my next trip. We will be going again at the end of November because our Grandchild will be born by then so we will be visiting. We will probably be visiting at least three times every year from now on. Staying at this hotel feels like coming home. We love it.

Staying Cool in Schotsdale
John Jun 24, 2007
After a long flight and hot drive, the coolness of the Holiday Inn Express was welcome. Therwas no question about the warmth ... of the hotel staff, though, as they took care of us quickly and responded professionally to our requests. Our room was roomy, nicely appointed and fresh. The complimentary breakfst was more than adequate. Though there were no other eating options on the premises, there were plenty of choices within a few minutes drive. Comfy, clean, compatible, COOL! Just what we needed for our stay in AZ.
