Good location and Great staff!
Penguin Nov 10, 2009
The first thing that came to mind when opening our hotel room door was, "This is very small and cramped." It was very neat, ... clean, and contemporary though. We left for a couple of hours and came back to ashes on our bed. Someone was obviously in our non-smoking room while we were gone! When I called the front desk, the staff and the manager were very friendly and moved us to an upgraded room with a king bed, bench, mini fridge, and more space! I was very pleased with how they handled the situation. It was nice being just a couple blocks from shopping and restaurants.

The magnificent mile is two blocks away. It consists mostly of high end designer shops though. There are some places like Forever 21 and NikeTown that are more affordable though. There are Starbucks on almost every corner lol

Great location and price!
Sidford Oct 19, 2009
The hotel staff was very responsive and they give you a variety of newspaper options in the morning available in the ... breakfast area. It's not just USA Today at your door. You can choose from that, the New York Times or Wall Street Journal. But get to breakfast early if you want to get one of those because copies will run out. The breakfast area is great with comfortable seating and big TVs. I think one was on the news and one was on ESPN, so there's something for everyone. The location was great within walking distance of great restaurants and the subway in case you want to go downtown. It's about a $40 cab ride from O'Hare which is comparable, if not less, than most major cities. The room was on the smaller side but the the flat screen TV had a ton of channels and the bed was comfortable. Also, the internet connection was reliable although not super fast. There's a Starbucks across the street with a faster connection. All in all, a great price for a great location in a big city.
Traveler type: Business
The internet connection at the Starbucks across the street is faster than the hotel connection and is free for AT&T customers.

Excellent location for the hotel. We were disappointed that they had discontinued access to a fitness center in between the ... time we booked and our trip however. The doorman, [...], was extraordinarily helpful and friendly. All hotels should be so lucky to have such a good employee. Rooms were clean, although small, the breakfast in the morning was good food and convenient. Would consider staying here again.

it was pretty nice to stay in this hotel, even the room is very tiny. The staff are super nice, giving me very useful and ... helpful information whenever needed. Just one thing was not very pleasant, maybe because my room is quite close to the storage room, it was kind of noisy in the mornings. I could hear those movement loud.

Dave Jul 6, 2009
Yes,the rooms are very small, but we weren't in Chicago to hang out at the hotel. Location was excellent,2 blocks from the ... Hard Rock Cafe and ESPN Zone, and about 8 blocks from the John Hancock tower(my favorite). Staff was helpful and very friendly. We arrived at around 11:00 AM not expecting to be able to check in so early but our room was ready with no problem. Bed was very, very comfortable. Free breakfast was ok,but the lines could be VERY long. Skipped it the last day we were there because the wait would have been ridiculous. Wouldn't hesitate to stay there again because of location alone, good package deal on Orbitz for flight/hotel.

John Jun 5, 2009
I spent 8 nights at the Cass Hotel:the first 3 nights,it was impossible to sleep because of the dozen of children(from Ohio) ... screaming in the corridor, slamming the doors, partying 6 or 7 by rooms, out of control.Where were the parents or the teachers?Of course, when I complained at the desk, they said they will send someone, nothing was done, how could they!! When the kids left, the hotel was adequate:small rooms but clean and well decorated and equiped, good location. It is regrettable that the management does not care more for its clients comfort by avoiding those disturbing out of control groups.

DO NOT take cabs! The public transportation system in Chicago was amazing. We spent less than what one cab ride from the airport would have been on our transportation for the entire trip. My advice is to put around $20 on your transit card and go from there. You can transfer for 25 cents from the train to the bus and vice versa with your transit card!
