If you find it, it's not too bad

In the area for a college homecoming weekend, so looking for a simple bed to sleep in nothing too fancy. Driving here is a ... little difficult since you have to go through the South Shore Plaza, and then the parking is limited and fills up quickly. There is a shuttle van from the subway stations however they now charge. Another hotel in the area I stayed at in Aug '09 offers this same shuttle without charge. The rooms are a medium size and include a comfy chair. I do not remember seeing a coffee maker in the room but they brew it 24/7 in the lobby. Bed was comfy, heat/ac worked properly, bathroom was clean. This is a good hotel for the price if you do not need too many creature comforts and just need a good bed to spend the night in. Well worth it for economy travelers, probably not suited to couples, cramped for family.

Decent Price and Convenient Location
College Student's Relative Nov 9, 2009
Was there to spend a weekend so it was a quick ride to and from the Prudential Center. I honestly spent just my time there ... to sleep so in that regard the room was decent... comfortable bed and soft pillows, followed by a good variety on the breakfast in the morning. I am a stickler about bathrooms at hotels and I wasn't a huge fan of the shower tub because it seemed slightly grimey. Besides that the price was very decent and there was a strip mall right behind in case I needed anything.

Good price for nice hotel a 10 minute walk from the subway in an OK but not great neighborhood in which we were comfortable ... during the day and evening but wouldn't be at night. The only walkable restaurants are chains in a mall a short but dark walk away.

Just needed a place to stay one night that was close to Braintree and Northeastern. This was great. Hotel staff recommended ... 224 Restaurant down the street a few blocks and it was very good. Only downside is that you have to take a shuttle to the T but they were very happy to arrange that for members of our group who needed to get there.

Nice place to stay in Boston!
Super Traveler Oct 12, 2009
The rooms are very nice. They serve a small buffet breakfast in the mornings. The location is not that great! Not much ... around in way of restaurants, shopping, etc. They have a shuttle to subway station but is is not very timely. It is a five minute walk to the station but I am not certain it is safe to do at night. There is no shuttle service to the Amtrak stations. There is a mall but it is a little walk. Rooms are very quiet concerning outside noise but talking from adjoining room could be heard.

The hotel was in a good location. While my husband was working, I took advantage of the Trolley Tour Bus that picks guest up ... in the front of the hotel every morning. It was a great way to see the city and it also included a 45 min Harbor Cruise. The continental breakfast was very good.

Awesome Vacation trip
Sgt Mom Jun 22, 2009
I travel to Boston paid fo once a year staying at the Hampton Inn at Revere to get to the beach. Last year the price and the ... room did not match, I was extremely disapointed in the sub-par room I had i had paid a high fee for. This year I inadvertently chose Holiday Inn Express when in fact I thought I chose Holiday Inn at Logan airport. Not only was I extremely happy with the hotel but found I was very close to my parents home via the T line which is just too easy to utilize, no traffic or parking hassles and a bit of an experience:). The room, clean, cozy perfect view of downtown Boston. The staff, all hotel staff should follow the great customer service example of the Holiday Inn Express staff, all staff member from check-in/check-out, shuttle and housekeeping. We got to the beach, mom's house and sight-seeing, it was totally fab!!! Only one little issue, as an asthmatic I found it a stuggle to use the fitness room just had to keep the door open, but other than that the experience was GREAT!!! Going back next year and considering staying at the Holiday Inn Express! Richele Beckett

It was not too far to the nearest T station, which then was a quick ride to all of the tourist areas. The complimentary ... breakfast was very good -- you have to love hot cinnamon rolls -- and the evening cookies were great, too. Target was also a quick walk as the strip mall was right around the corner. It was very convenient.

Friendly staff; good value
Boston Traveler May 2, 2009
I have stayed at this hotel many times on trips to Boston. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The complimentary ... breakfasts are great! The rooms are clean and I'm happy to see they recently upgraded to softer, higher-quality bedsheets and pillow cases and blankets. The hotel is conveniently located near a huge shopping plaza around the corner including a big grocery store, and there is also a T station (underground train) that is about a 5-10 minute walk from the hotel. If you're looking for a luxury hotel experience, then this place isn't for you. But if you're looking for quality affordable lodging so you can use the money you're saving on doing more fun things while you're in Boston, then this is the place.

You can get to the trains, about a 6 block walk. Not bad for the price. Why spend big bucks on a hotel when you can stay at the Holiday Inn Express?
--Kate, Northern New Jersey Apr 22, 2009
Right behind the Holiday Inn Express through their back door would lead you to a shopping plaza, that has a Best Buy, a Target, a Marshals, an Asian supermarket and a Stop and shop. There's also an Olive Garden and an Apple Bees. So what else can u ask for.
