Great location;not much more though
This hotel has free wifi, a great location in the heart of everything, it's near public transit (T stations), and the hotel ... staff is very nice. It's easy to get anywhere and you're going to need to get out of the hotel to eat for sure. The beds are pretty uncomfortable as well, but if you're looking for a relatively cheap hotel close to everything (and dont expect to much) this is the place to stay.

Excellent
This hotel has such a great location. It's close to the T and all of the tourist attractions. It's within walking distance ... to many restaruants and alcohol stores. It was priced great and the rooms were very clean and neat. There was always a taxi outside if it was rainning or I didn't feel like walking. The hotel has a deep swimming pool, decent cardio gym, internet access and a washer and dryer for personal use. Overall I chose this place by accident but will use it again the next time I visit Boston.

Needs a re-model
Hotel needs a re-model. We had 2 rooms; 1st room bathroom door wouldn't close, towel hanger ripped off door. The second ... room was missing deadbolt on door, air conditioner sounded like a Mac truck. Couldn't move us for 2 days. OK, but run-down.

Boston
We did day tours to Cape Cod and Newport, R.I. We also did the on/off tour of Boston (all greyline) Had excellent ... drivers/tour guides on all. The hotel was in a great location. Service and room was good. The worse thing about the hotel was the elevators. Only 2 were working. We came in from a day long trip and people were lined up all the way to the outside door waiting for the elevators. We walked around the block to the back of the building and walked 8 flights of stairs to the 8th floor!

Good value, great location
Just an average Holiday Inn but with a great location. Didn't have a hot tub, which was sort of a disappointment but did ... have a shallow area for kids (which little ones seemed to enjoy). Fitness center was in major need of updating. Restaurant was overpriced, but there was a Whole Foods just next door to get fresh stuff at a cheaper price.

Wonderful stay in Boston
We came to boston for sightseeing. We stayed in this hotel for a night, but the room was nice and clean. Also, the staff was ... very helpful to us. The hotel was close to downtown and it was easy to get to subway stations. Even though we stayed there for a day, we could look around the city and had a good trip in Boston.
Traveler type: Family
The hotel is very close to subway and downtown. We had a limited time to stay in Boston and wanted to see as many places as possible. The location was great and we saved a lot of time.

Unbeatable location
The location of the hotel was great insofar as being close to the Train station and within walking distance of Boston Common ... and everything historical. Having the hospital close by we were a bit concerned about the noise of the ambulances, but surprisingly, it was quiet at night. We thought it was the best possible location for us.

Holiday Inn - Beacon Hill
Interestingly, this is a lower rated (by the star system) than the local Hilton and yet this Holiday Inn, about 1/2 mile from ... the Hilton was more expensive. Clean but Slightly run down; fine location and pleasant staff, room was just fine and quiet. Extra and expensive Parking Fees not appreciated. Had I known the rates of both, I would have stayed at the Hilton, not the Holiday Inn, where the parking was $13 instead of Holiday Inn's $36 overnight fee. Especially High for a weekend night.

The Hill Tavern, right across the street had fine steak sandwich and salad; also the BLT with Avacado was great and fries, all quite reasonable.

great location to go out and sightsee and to catch the T. At times the front desk personnel could not understand much ... English. It would have been nicer if the rooms had a small refrigerator esp as the soda machines did not work on the floors.

Convenient and Comfortabe
It was not cheap but it was very convenient to attractios and sights. We could walk to Fennuel Hall and harbour (20 minutes). ... It was 10 minutes from the Metro. The streets were safe and clean. It was generally quiet for a city centre hotel. We arrived early 1pm and could not get into our room. I would book an early entry in future. It was not outstanding but I would stay again. I thought it just a bit pricey.
