it was not clean, it has rodents,not enough tv channels, the internet service was bad, not enough hot water. this was the ... worst hote i have ever stayed in compare to the other howard johnson i've stayed in.

The telephones did not work at the hotel. The room keys did not work at the hotel, we had to keep going back and getting new ... ones. The fixtures were old and needed to be replaced. The internet reception for the rooms did not work. You had to go outside to use cell phones properly.

Well if you like sleeping with Roaches and the bug spray fumes than I guess this is the place for you. However,the staff was ... very polite and accomodating.

The room that was assigned to us had roaches and bugs that had wings. We requested to be transfered to another room which ... was a little better. Overall, the Hotel was ok,the staff was nice and accomadating. The location of the hotel was very accessiable to the highway and some fast food restaurant. I had the best sleep there!

Greeted by friendly and knowledgeable staff. Comfortable and affordable lodgings, with convenient access to eateries along ... highway. Quiet and restful stay, without any outside disturbances. Recommended for the cost conscious, looking for an average stay.

The hotel needs to work on their appearance. The staff seemed friendly. They did clean the room late into the day which was a ... plus. When we arrived and parked we were greeted by a women's SUMMERS EVE box. That was nasty but, the next day when we returned it was all cleaned and things seemed better. If you are just passing through and make this an online reservation the cost was good. It also appeared that alot of locals used this hotel also to hang out in.

It was so so, room basically clean, staff helpful, expect the breakfast room prople would not let me take my breakfast back ... to my room (1 orange, 1 piece of bread). being somewhat disabled, they let me check out an hour later and at both check in and check out did have someone help me. However they do not have those luggage carts that many places have

Housekeeping never came to our room. Well, they did at 7:30 in the morning. Who wants room service that early. They were ... asked twice to come back and never did. We had to go up to the office to get our own towels at the end of each day.

Bad Hotel

The Howard Johnsons Express Inn was a bad hotel, actually the worst I have ever seen. I was on the bottom floor next to the ... parking lot. The door looked like it had been pried open in the past, and while we were out at dinner our bags were moved though nothing appeared taken. The beds were not comfortable, they appeared very old and warn, unevenly too soft. The room was not clean, and the table and chairs were old and warn. The room was full of cockroaches, literally, they were crawling on the walls and beds during the night, and they were big!! I told the hotel desk manager but he seemed unconcerned. Are cockroaches in Florida hotels normal?? The hotel room next to mine was busy all night, many people came, nocked, the door opened and then closed, and then the visitors left. I could not see what was actually happening there, but I could guess. People were standing out in the parking lot and walking past my room all night and they did not appear to be guests of the hotel. I did not feel safe at this hotel. The hotel was on the wrong side of the tracks so to speak. I would rate this hotel a 0 stars!!!

I think that this place is also referred to as Hell. Plenty of weekly-rate residents there with broken-down cars in the vast ... parking lot. The reasonably priced hotel room comes complete with dirty, stained, and non-vacuumed carpet along with the lingering smell of past indulgences. The familiar smell of vomit echoes through the room and intensifies greatly with the flick of the air conditioning unit which contributes with an additional sonic explosion that lacks decrescendo. The room moves before your eyes as you flick the lights on in the morning following a sleepless night. It is a wonder that none of these running roaches made it into your bed during the previous hours along with the trace remnants of hourly-rate lovers left in your reasonably priced blankets. Enjoy your stay- somewhere else!
