Hilton Portland & Executive Tower

We stayed at the Hilton Portland & Executive Tower for a business "bootcamp". The program was being held at this location so ... staying there was convenient. However, the street noises were very disruptive to a good night's sleep. Needless to say, I would not recommend this hotel for that reason.

Sundays in Portland are dead days. Saturdays are at full speed from very early in the morning 'til too late. Enjoy the most you can on Saturday as in Sunday you'll feel depressed: everything is closed. Everybody is out and driving your car that day is slow.

OK room, unprofessional management
Orbitz review Sep 6, 2009
I was unlucky and happened to book a room here while they were hosting a fan convention for Japanese animation. Hundreds of ... teenage guests in costume took over the lobby and hallways. Management did not seem to have given them their own floors, but had intermixed them with regular business travelers and guests wanting peace and quiet (I was there for a funeral). During the evening it was very noisy, and in the morning the elevators and two attendants on desk staff were all overwhelmed and inaccessible by the crowds. The room was nice, but walls are thin and bathroom towels (and toilet paper) are cheap and scratchy.

Parking-helpful and cost/effective!!
diegum Aug 30, 2009
This hotel will make you save a lot of time looking where to park (be aware that parking in Portland is time-consuming and ... expensive). Thanks to this hotel you just drop your stuff in your room and walk as a lot of attractions in this amazing city are just few blocks apart. You'll still use your car to visit other towns in the city but parking there is pretty much easier and also you won't spend a lot of time in those. Hilton is not the cheapest, not the most expensive but in the equation cost/benefit Hilton's offer is unbeatable.

This hotel is centrally located and is near the light rail lines that crisscross downtown Portland. The staff were friendly ... and helpful. We had a corner room on the 14th floor that was very comfortable. We usually stay in boutique hotels where the wifi and fitness center are free, so we were a little put off by the $10 fitness center fee and $9.95 wifi fee.

Hilton Portland
Running Man Jul 4, 2009
I booked with the Hilton because of the percieved quality and luxury of a great hotel experience. I was a bit disappointed. ... The room was supposed to be a king and it was listed as so, but it ended up being a queen. The room was very cramped and tiny. I am skinny (visited to run marathon)and could barely shimmy into the bathroom. Also, the AC never got the room cool after being on all the time and being set at 65 degrees. Nothing was complimentary and I needed to check one thing on the internet, but it cost $9. No courtesy ones in the lobby. I didn't change the room, because I usually don't complain about things and go with the flow, but there were enough things here that added up to make by stay disappointing. If this is company wide, I would not stay at a Hilton again. Too bad really when some of the details are easy to accommodate and fix.

Great location, good service
holly May 27, 2009
There was no line and it was easy to check in. We had two double beds - very comfortable and slept well. The bathroom is ... small but efficient, well-appointed and clean. There was a line at check out, and only one person at the desk. So, it took about 20 minutes - thus, 4 stars. This could just have been a fluke. Everyone that worked there seemed very hospitable, friendly and helpful. We walked everywhere downtown - location is great. Saturday Market, Powell's, Cafes, etc. Recommend renting a car for Portland - after one full day downtown, probably want to get out and explore neighborhoods and coast.

Perfect Location, Helpful Staff
Desiree Eliott Nov 1, 2008
Firstly the location is perfect, nearly a short walk from the LightRail, all the shopping places and restaurants are close as ... well. Even a NikeTown across the street! The staff was always helpful and organized, even allowing me to check in slightly early which was nice not to lug a heavy bag to my lunch meeting. I travel to Portland frequently for business and this will for sure be THE hotel I stay at each time. The only bummer I would like to mention is that the room service stops at 11pm which is okay as a minimum but it wasn't that obvious looking at the menu so when I called at 11:04pm I was declined food :( Overall that was my only regret!

Great Location, Great Staff
Greg Sep 22, 2008
The Hilton Portland & Executive Tower was a great choice for a business or pleasure traveller. Within easy walking distant ... was the Portland Museum of Art, Pioneer Courthouse Square and numerous access points to the excellent, and in most of downtown, free, mass transit system. The staff was very helpful, especially the concierge and maintainence staff. The concierge recommended a great location for brunch right around the corner at the Heathman Hotel. Maintainence was able to retrieve my left behind phone charger, saving me money and time. Our only complaints was the room we had was a bit small, as the king sized bed overwhelmed the space. And parking cost $18/night. Other than those 2 issues, no complaints.

The Hilton Executive Suites Downtown Portland was very, very comfortable and a geat location for local restaurants, ... transportation, movie theaters, shopping and the waterfront. The room had lovely comfortable beds, the vanity was separate from toilet and shower so 2 people can be using bathroom area. The lobby decor and bar was fashionable and trendy fun. We loved this Hilton in Portland. The most comfortable beds we've ever slept in at a Hotel, EVER! The room was so clean, ... the pool was a little small but clean and nice. The room was so nicely decorated too. The staff was very friendly, especially the Room Service staff. She was a ray of sunshine with our breakfast.
