Broadway at the Beach is def a must see, walking around the shops, going to the movies, listening to the live bands, and feeding the fish and ducks was so much fun and right around the area (maybe a 5 min drive) were a couple of great restaurants, Sticky Fingers Ribhouse and Rioz Brazillian Steakhouse. Sticky fingers was affordable and great food, all the selections of ribs are so good, words don't do it justice. Rioz was a bit more expensive but the food was amazing and the staff was so friendly and helpful. We def are going back, and staying at the Hilton, and going to Broadway on the Beach again!

Very nice hotel
Mom Jul 30, 2009
I took a couple of days alone at the beach to relax. My goal was to sit on the beach or by the pool and read a good book. I ... did accomplish that goal. I was very pleased with the hotel in general. The lobby was clean and the staff was very friendly, starting with the guy at the front gate. My room was small but very comfortable and clean. The bed was probably the most comfortable bed I have ever slept in at a hotel. I had one small issue with a large bug in my shower. He was easily washed down the drain. The drain in the tub had been closed when I got there and I suspect that may have been where the bug came from when i opened it to shower. The pool area was very nice with plenty of lounge chairs. There is access to two pool areas which allows for changes of scenery. The pool bar is nice but the dinks were a little pricey for what you got. I did not try the food at but the resturants looked very inviting. The beach was very nice. It was not the shelly sand that hurts your feet, but a nice silky sand. At low tide there is a very large beach area. Even during high tide there was enough beach to accomadate vacationers. In some locations in Myrtle Beach that is not true. This is a very family friendly area of Myrtle Beach and it is a nice central location. I will stay at this hotel again. I did not particularly like the $7 a day to park in the parking deck.

Overall Nice Stay
Traveling Mo Jul 21, 2009
Large dogs were allowed when I stayed (up to 75 lbs), but dogs weren't allowed on the beach during the busy summer months ... between 8am-5pm (just FYI). Our ocean view room was nice & clean w/lots of amenities - cable TV, fridge, microwave, coffee maker, hair dryer, etc. We just stayed for a long weekend of beach lounging. Wasn't a long walk at all to the beach. Another FYI - the tide rises midday, so set up behind the row of umbrellas if you don't want to get your things wet! Also, when you check-in, you're given a parking pass for the parking garage. What you're not given is the daily cost ($7.56 when I stayed). So be prepared when you check-out to pay for your daily parking!

Great Hotel!
Ashley Jun 11, 2009
I came to the hotel for a extended weekend. I thought the hotel was at a great location with very friendly staff. All the ... rooms are ocean view and have a balcony overlooking the pool areas and ocean. The rooms have microwaves and fridges. They have 2 large pools and 2 hot tubs. They have numerous chairs so, it is not overcrowded The staff was very friendly and had an enjoyable time. We even brought out dog to the hotel because it is dog friendly. They have an area for pets and you can access the beach with pets before 8 and after 5. If your looking for a nice hotel and a great pool and location then I would stay here. It took about 5 mins to go to Barefoot landing and 10-15 to go to Broadway at the Beach

May 2009 Feedback
Mary May 26, 2009
When we checked in to our room, the garbage had not been emptied from the previous guests. It was very noisy, the room doors ... would slam and make a loud bang which wakes you up- it was difficult to rest. There was no continental breakfast and food was pricey. We had a double Queen, oceanfront room. Upon complaining about the noise and dirty room, the manager did not follow up with us. When I checked under the beds when we were leaving, I saw debris/garbage from previous guests. On the plus side, the service in the restaurant was excellent and the food was outstanding.

Really, it's a Hilton?
Carolina TMM May 25, 2009
The staff was good except for not getting us a crib until 10:00 PM for our 14 month old. The room service was very good. My ... complaint is with our room itself. They said the hotel was built in the late '70s, and it doesn't look like much was done to it since. The lobby and restaurants are ok, and I tried to keep in mind that it is a beach hotel, but peeling wall paper, missing tiles, chewed up doors stained carpet, drooping drapes etc etc etc, it just wasn't something I expect when I stay in a Hilton. We had the King one bedroom suite on the 12th floor. The ocean view was phenomenal. The pools were fun, the boardwalk along the front of the hotel was enjoyable. But something needs to be done with the rooms. They were a definitely a D-. Had I only paid $100 or so, no problem, but when you pay over $200 a night, it becomes a problem. Time to update the rooms people.

Memorial Day Weekend Hotel Stay
say what:? May 25, 2009
The trip began with a quick and efficient check in.. Lobby and shop are very nice.. We got a parking pass from the front ... desk. After getting a key we went to the 15th floor room and were shocked to realize that we actually had to walk outside to get to the room. Half the rooms are inside accessible and the other half are outside.. Not a big deal just kinda weird. Entering the room it was definitely "ok" if that.. The room was a king suite.. how you got a suite out of that I have no idea.. It's definitely outdated.. The pictures on the wall were dirty and there was quite a bit of mold build up in the shower.. The ceiling had cracks in it as well and the balcony was really small but the view was very impressive.. i don't think anywhere in this hotel would have a bad view.. The bed was fairly comfortable and the sheets were clean as well as soft.. The TV was an old 27" CRT and it worked but honestly in an age of LCD's I don't see why more hotels can't upgrade... we didn't plan on being in the room that much anyway so it wasn't that big of a deal. The pool area was absolutely amazing.. they really did a good job with the bar around the pools and the hot tub area.. There were a LOT of chairs and loungers and even on a long weekend we still had to only wait a few min to get a spot.. We didn't have any food from the restaurant but others were eating it and it looked tasty.. We did have a couple drinks from the bar and although they were pricey, they were very well made.. Upon checkout. We found out that we were charged 7 bucks a day for the parking.. Not a big deal but they didn't tell us about this charge which I wasn't impressed with.. I think the hotel was good value for the money but to be honest I probably won't stay there again.. If the rooms were nicer I'd say it's a perfect hotel but it's just not up to quality that you would expect from Hilton hotels..

Great time!
The traveling fiend! May 19, 2009
Our stay at the Hilton Resort at Myrtle Beach was great! I was alil worried from a few of the reviews I had read about the ... Hilton but none of it rang true for us. Myrtle beach was a fun place to either run around and see the sights or just relax by the pool or ocean. Everyone at the hotel was friendly and extra helpful, no complaints there. The only thing that we had a problem with was the A/C unit the first night, seem to not be working correctly but once I called down for help our room was nice and cool when we got back from our outing that day.

We expected the hotel to be more luxurious for a 4-star hotel. The inside of the hotel was stark and cold. The Hilton lacked ... staff - the towel desk was not served and our room was not cleaned one day. We also expected more restaurant choices in the hotel. We did enjoy the location right on the beach.

well, during our stay at the hilton. we were walked in on by a work who was painting the balconey's while we were changing ... our clothes. not very nice. we had to move rooms in the middle of the night because the smell of the paint was making us sick. we asked to speak with the manager several times and he always seemed to be busy and the staff was lying about it. i feel that they were very rude to us because we are a younger couple and I don't feel that we should have to put up with that type of behavior.
