Very enjoyable, close to nightlife
Bombay Bistro Nov 15, 2009
We loved the location, decor, and service. We were only a block away from our favorite resturant, Bombay Bistro and 4 blocks ... from the Orpheum Theater. We could get anywhere downtown for the nightlife! Very comfortable bed and quiet for sleeping. Will definately be staying here again.

Bombay Bistro is the best South/North Indian Resturant that we have ever been to, including when we went to India. Weekends have the best lunch buffet in addition to there evening diners. We make a 2 hour trip, once a month to eat here. It is fantastic.

Mpls Hilton stay
Sharon Oct 19, 2009
We often stay at the hilton when downtown - the skyway system get you everywhere downtown - clean, dry, warm and safe. We ... walked to shopping, dining and a saw 101 Dalmatians premier at the Orpheum theatre - the Hilton is an excellent location for all downtown events. It is so easy in and out and has good underground parking. It is a beautiful hotel. The only thing I did not like was the buffet breakfast was $16 per person - a bit too spendy

Great place, Great price, great night
Rodeogirl Oct 18, 2009
Efficient check in/out process. Helpful and Happy staff. We used the room to get ready for our evening out, the hotel ... location made it convenient for a fun night out in downtown Minneapolis. It was spotless. The temperature was comfortable, the bed was comfortable. Another perk to this hotel was the Limo service for a fair price, instead of taking a taxi. It gave us an extra special touch to our night. Four things about our experience that took away from a higher rating were that we did not have any bar/hand soap in our bathroom, smoking/non smoking rooms, our reservation and the parking situation . We requested a King bed for our room, and we did not get one. We did have a great room with two full beds, but for a romantic night out, it would have sealed our experience to have what we requested. The option of smoking or non should not even be a question. This option should have left with the ban of smoking in restaurants, hotels should not be any different. Our parking situation was that the sign on the parking ramp said "overnight parking $5.00," when we left the hotel around 10:30 am, the parking teller told us that "overnight" is only from 4pm to 4am. We were disappointed. We figured parking should be free for hotel customers, or the "$5.00" overnight charge. The advertising was vague and misleading. Not a big deal, the charge didn't break the bank, but it was our last impression of our stay. It did leave a bitter taste in our mouths as we drove home.

Someone could easily access downtown from this hotel to reach nightlife by walking, but it is Minnesota and cold already. The limo ride was really short. This is still the hotel to stay at if you want convenience.

A nice hotel with good staff
todd Oct 13, 2009
The hotel was nice and the staff was friendly. I learned one important lesson from one of the staff members when I called ... regarding my late check-in..."a reservation does not guarantee you a room." Apparently, if people want to stay over an extra night, they can keep someone who used a third party[...] from getting a room that night. That being said, the staff was willing to make it up to me and they were all very nice to deal with.

Business trip. I was displeased to find out the hotel did not have a room available for me after I had made my reservation ... months in advance. Then I was sent to a Ramada inn 30 min. away where I was given a smoking room. A very unpleasant experience.

after paying for this hotel 3 months in advance, the night I arrived to the hotel, i found out, it was overbooked. the excuse ... I received was that some guest extended their stay and there was no rooms.[...] they sent me to a ramanda hotel 25 min away while rainning and freezing. at the ramada hotel only smoking rooms were available. it was very dissapointing, dont recommend to anyone!

Very nice hotel with great location. The staff were very accomodating and friendly. We used valet parking and although ... expense the service was prompt and the valet and bell staff were very helpful. We stayed at the hotel on a friday and saturday night. With it's location and size, this hotel caters large events and both evenings the hotel was quite noisy. The nightly rate was a great value and I would recommend this hotel.

We stayed at the Hilton for a wedding and were quite pleased with the location, room size, updated bathrooms, and had no ... complaints about the service. Not an amazing hotel, but we had no complaints. Parking can get expensive in downtown Minneapolis so if you can get a package that includes parking it is probably worthwhile.

Service was good - toilet didnt work - fixed right away. Needed bandaid - received it right away. But, I thought from the ... description of the hotel that internet service was available and free - dragged my laptop and found it there was a large cost. Nice that you could print out plane tix from a free printer in lobby. Best thing was the light rail service to the airport a few blocks away - but not well publicized.
