Would recommend to a friend!

When we arrived at the hotel, we were told that the lock wasn't working properly on the door and that the head engineer would ... have to let us in and out of the room... however after we went to dinner and came back to the room, our keys worked and we had no problems going and coming as we pleased. The room was very spacious and very well kept and clean. We truly enjoyed staying here and will return on our next trip to the BIG EASY!!!! We had a blast!!!

Fun weekend

Would recommend to a friend!

Friendly and helpful front desk staff. Arrived at the hotel around noon and was able to check in early, which was great. We ... were able to drop our bags and go out for the afternoon. The room was a good size for 4 people with two queen-size beds and excellent pillows. Very comfortable. A/c not working properly when arrived but maintenance had fixed by the time we returned in the late afternoon. The hotel was about 3 blocks from the start of the French Quarter, which was not a problem. They served wonderful coffee in the mornings and chocolate chip cookies in the afternoon; both for free. Terrific! All in all, we had a very nice stay at this hotel and would definitely consider again.

Be sure to eat the beignets at Cafe du Monde. Also, we had the Muffaletta at Cafe Maspero along with a $3 Strawberry Daiquari - they were great - definitely full when we left.

Great rooms, good location

Liza Jun 19, 2009

Would recommend to a friend!

Room was very clean, decent view of the city - but they did want to charge extra to use the room safe which I thought was ... tacky - we didn't use it. We were able to walk to the French Quarter in just minutes. We also took advantage of the Streetcars (buy the $5 pass to ride all day or the $12 pass for 3 days) - rode to the casino, along the Riverfront, to the Market, and took a long ride to the Garden District - beautiful homes - we just rode and took a break from all the walking late in the afternoon - it was nice. We only stayed for a couple of nights, so we didn't have time to take advantage of the pool in the hotel. We did park our car at a different location other than the hotel - only had to pay $20 total compared to $26 per night at the hotel. The only concern was that there was no attendant on duty during the weekend - but our car was fine - no problems. Overall - great hotel stay and good location.

Poor Checkin and Pillows

Derek Jan 8, 2008

Check in time 3pm. My husband and I arrived at 4pm and we were not able to get into a room until 6pm. The bed was ... comfortable, but the pillows were a mess. It ruined our sleep. I won't be staying here again.
