Stayed in Back Bay for a Saturday to Sunday excursion into the city. No reason other than to have a good time, which we did. ... The concierge was exceptionally helpful, and the location was great! Would have enjoyed having a mini-bar, but overall, it was a great stay, and would stay there again.

A short walk to the T (subway). Big, comfy bed. Great views. Like that you can open room window. TV good. Just adequate ... shower. If you don't bring your computer, there are five in the lounge you can use. Lounge has a Starbuck's 'til 9 PM. Fitness center small but adequate. Pool small but families were having fun. A year ago, one could go out onto balcony but now cannot. Boo.

We asked the concierge for a good breakfast place nearby (hotel has overpriced breakfast buffet)and he suggested Thornton's. A short walk and catty-corner from The Cheesecake Factory, it's great. Great breakfasts. Try the French toast.

Met expectations
NY Mom Oct 13, 2009
It was a fine hotel in a good location. Very clean and modern. Has free computers with internet in the lobby. The cleaning ... woman called the room 2 times to see if I wanted her to clean (because the do not disturb sign was on.) I imagine that DO NOT DISTURB means that I don't want a phone call--heck, she could have just knocked at that point. Other than that annoyance, I had a fine experience.

Convenient to all of Boston!
MaryK Sep 28, 2009
Super location in downtown just steps from T (public transportation). Clean rooms and halls; felt safe walking in hotel and ... neighborhood. Beds a little hard and the air conditioning unit was set at a pre-programmed temp (68F)which is a little warmer than we're used to for sleeping. Opening the window helped, but we were right above the AC for the hotel, so a little loud. Parking fee steep and no free wireless, but I'd stay again!
Traveler type: Couples
Boston's T is just 2 blocks. Don't rent a car and use the transit system. Concierge was extremely helpful with hints for getting around. Driving in Boston is challenging at best and getting to the Hilton from the airport was complicated by construction and no downtown exits off 90---better to take the T from the airport!
