Gambler at heart Oct 21, 2009
Did not actually understand that the hotel and the casino where not one and the same or that you had to take a shuttle to the ... casino. I am an early riser and the food area at the hotel was not open early enough and expensive. So I had nothing to do but sit in room while husband slept. I am use to a casino being attached and I get dressed and go down for coffee, etc. before he gets up

As we were not guarenteed a non-smoking room at reservation time, I did inquire the day before we left on a 12 hour journey ... to Tunica if we had 2 beds or not. The hotel did change so that we had 2 beds, but on a smoking floor. I took a big can of Lysol spray and used during the 5 nights. neither of us smoke.

Harrah's hotel was very clean and comfortable. The staff was very unfriendly and rude. The room had a bad air conditioner, ... which was fixed and broke again the next day. We had to move to another room. The hotel does not have free WiFi-which is surprising for a casino hotel. The internet rates were outrageous. The internet is my mode of communication when I travel. This was very dissapointing since 'cheap' hotels offer 'free' internet. The bathroom faucet in the second room was broke. The only friendly staff at this hotel were the valet and house cleaning staff. I will never stay at a Harrah's hotel again.

After ariving at the address on our confirmation, unloading our luggage and standing in line, we were treated like 2nd class ... citizens "because we booked thru Orbitz". We were told we couldn't stay in that property, that Orbitz customers were assigned to a different hotel way across the property. Our room overlooked massive air conditioners. The whole place smelled of stale smoke they tried to cover up with sickening air freshener. We had trouble breathing. This is not the first time we have received comments like, "oh, you booked thru Orbitz, you can only have these rooms". Never again!

We were so far removed from the casino we thought we were staying at, that we had to be bussed there.
