Small rooms but immaculate and updated
Monte Cristo Oct 17, 2009
We are six 40-somethings, in Milwaukee for a "Girl's Weekend". The hotel was in an ideal location for enjoying Milwaukee "on ... foot". The rooms were small, however we only meant to sleep there, so it fit our needs. It was immaculate, fresh and updated. We unfortunately had a loud lunatic staying in the room next door, which interrupted our otherwise restful slumber. The hotel staff handled the obviously difficult situation very well and the offending person was removed.

Bloody Mary's and brunch at the Wicked Hop, especially on the outside patio. We also liked the Public Market and the Riverwalk.

Terrible!
Emily Jul 19, 2009
This hotel was not easy to find due to road construction and one way streets. Finally we found the parking garage, then had ... to find the door to lobby of the hotel which was not clearly marked. Next we checked in and went to our room, which had soaking wet carpet. They had just cleaned it, there was no way we could even set down our bags. So we got a different room, on the same floor, which we couldn't find because the floor was like a maze with rooms not going in order! Very frustrating. This room had a lovely view of the condemned building next door with boarded windows and all. Plus our air/heat did not work very well so either the room was so hot or freezing cold. It didn't help at all that all they had on the bed was a comforter with no blanket. Needless to say, neither one of us had a good nights sleep. The next day when we tried to leave the parking garage, it would not accept the ticket that the hotel had given us since we paid it with our room. We had to walk up 2 flights of the stairs back to the lobby and get another one before we could even leave the garage. Very Disappointing stay to say the least!

Excellent stay!!
Matt H. Apr 22, 2009
Hands down the best hotel I have ever stayed at. We got back late and they still let us swim even though it was after hours ... and also let us check out late the next day. Location is great.. huge mall literally across the street. Friendliest staff I've ever dealt with. When I go back to Milwaukee I won't think of staying anywhere else.

Business Trip
Tarsicio Jul 8, 2008
My stay at the Hampton Inn & Suites in Milwaukee Downtown was very enjoyable. The staff were friendly, the room was clean ... and the bed was comfy. The one thing that did bother me was that the TV reception was not the best and the remote was non-functioning. Another item that I was bothered by was that the toilet ran all night. Aside from that, the overall experience was quite acceptable.

Family freindly staff
Richard Jun 15, 2008
This was my first visit to Milwaukee, and I was truly amazed how beautiful the city is. Lake Michigan was within walking ... distance and the river is just a few blocks away. The staff at the hotel was among the friendliest we have encountered in a long time, as they greeted us with open arms, and was more than helpful in providing us with things to do and see around the city. There is a bus that picks you up right in front of the hotel that will take you directly to Miller Park, which we found very convenient with two young children. We will definitely stay at the Hampton Inn & Suites again on our next visit.

Good Value for Price
Tanya Jun 30, 2007
Overall this hotel was a good value for the price. It is not a fancy five star hotel. However, if you are looking for ... comfortable and clean accomodations than your needs will be met. The bedding was comfortable and clean and the as was the bathroom. Also, it has a great location (e.g., close to the lake, shopping, and downtown restaurants).
