Great Place To Stay

My mom and I met in Atlanta for a four day vacation (9/7-9/11). Wanting to be in the downtown area and having read some ... reviews, I chose The Hampton Hotel. I'm so glad that I did. The room was clean, comfortable and "quiet". The Hampton is very close to a MARTA train station and just about anything else you'd want to see in downtown Atlanta. And the staff was WONDERFUL. We always felt welcomed. Each morning, my mom and I ate at their breakfast buffet. Let's just say that we were well fed. So well fed, in fact, that we had no desire to eat again until dinner time. The breakfast hostess was so pleasant. Each morning she would ask my mom and I what we did and what we planned to do. And we could tell that it was from the heart. Nearby, there is a tourist information booth, in case you need help. And speaking of help. Everyone we ran into in Atlanta was so eager to help us find our way around. Even when speaking amongst ourselves, if someone overheard us wondering where something was, they eagerly offered us directions. My mom and I both felt sad to leave such kind people and we hope those affected by the recent flooding all the best for a speedy recovery.

Take the Marta train to and from the airport. We made the mistake of taking a taxi from the airport and paid $32. The train was MUCH cheaper and the ride is about 15-20 minutes.

The Hampton Inn & Suites in Atlanta-Downtown, was the ideal location for our two-day trip. Just minutes to walk to all major ... sightseeing attractions and restaurants. The room was clean and comfortable. Only a little small since we brought the travel bed for our 8m month baby. But the staff was very nice and supporting with any requests we had. The best was the parking lot right next to the hotel.

My review of Hampton Inn & Suites Atlanta-Downtown
Betty Jul 31, 2008
The hampton was in a prime location for access to the convention center, Centinele park and and the aquarium. The hotel was ... very classy and the room was large with a very comfortable bed, sofa and 2 chairs. There was no resturant facilities however breakfast is complimentary and it was easy to find a variety of restaurants in the evening and the MARTA station is within a short walk.

Great Location
Jackie Mar 18, 2008
Nice hotel right in the center of Downtown Atlanta. Convenient to all of the sightseeing locations-within walking distance ... to most. Very pleasant front desk staff...always ready with a recommendation to local restaurants and directions/maps. Living room a good bit smaller than expected. No floor space to walk around sofabed when it is open. Comfy comforter and pillows. Great sleep even in the center of a metropolitan city!
