Convenient and Professional

While on business in Albany, this new hotel proved to me to be a real find. The staff were nearly all very professional, the ... room and common areas were spotless, the wifi worked flawlessly (VERY important to any business professional), and the elevators were both speedy and immaculate. The proximity of this hotel to the Times Union Center made my job infinitely simpler. There are restaurants and bars in the immediate neighborhood, but there were no noise issues. There is a Rite Aid pharmacy about a block away. For my purposes of working at the Times Union Center, this was a perfect stay. I highly recommend this property.

The two on-site restaurants are both closed on Sunday, leaving one at a bit of a loose end. There are numerous delivery options, however, and a decent selection of cafes are within walking distance.

The hotel was in dowtown Albany, one side of the hotel was a run down neighborhood with people walking the streets all ... night. On the other side of the hotel was many college bars and clubs. The hotel itself was beautiful, friendly staff, free breakfast each morning. This hotel was a little too far out of the wasy next time I will stay closer to the airport or the Northway.

Great Staff
Diane Jul 13, 2008
The woman that assisted us at check in was very helpful, not just with check in but with parking and area dining locations. ... Everytime she saw us she greeted me by name which I thought was a very nice touch. The hotel is downtown and very nice. The casual restaurant attached to the hotel (but not run by it) was a bit stuffy but the food was very good. The hotel had a very nice breakfast, better than most Hampton's were I have stayed.

Good value for your money
Konstantin Jul 6, 2008
The hotel met my expectation in almost every way. The staff was friendly and helpful and accomodating to my needs. The hotel ... room was clean, comfortable, and did not feel cramped. The location was perfect considering that the Capitol building and other historical attractions are only a block away. The only thing that I'm dissatisfied with is that I was given a room for people with disabilities with the wheel-chair accessible shower. This resulted in the bathroom being flooded every time someone took a shower. Though it did not present a large issue for me. For the price I paid for this room for a couple of nights I am very sattisfied with the service I received.

In the heart of Albany, this beautiful hotel with an amazing staff made my trip the mini-vacation/buisness trip very ... comfortable. Any request or complaint (my radio didn't work and they were out of towels in the gym) was dealt with within a few minutes. The executive suite I stayed in had a refridgerator, microwave and coffee pot with great coffee. The room was spacious and offerred a lap desk, full-sized desk and full bath. There is a relaxation room which is private. It has a sauna, steam room, tanning bed and massage chair for a small fee. I would stay here everytime.

New Hotel with some kinks to work out
David Sep 23, 2007
The Hampton is a new facility, and was in very good shape. It is in a good location, very close to good dinning options and ... downtown attractions. It also has a good restaraunt and Chef inside the hotel. My only complaints were due to the 25 minute check-in (a maintenece person had taken the machine to encode the room card) and the very confusing parking system they have in place. This system requires a parking receipt for the attendant, one for the gate and one for the front desk - why not have it run off the room key? It also is an additional $12.50 / day for the parking in the rear of the Hotel. Besides that I thought it was superior to some other options nearby.

Friendly Atmosphere
Christine Apr 21, 2007
I was very pleased with the hotel and staff. The room was comfortable and quiet. The only thing I did not like is that I ... had to pay a parking fee of $12.50. There is no way around this since the hotel is in the middle of downtown Albany. If I had to go back to the city I would search for a hotel or motel on the outskirts instead of paying a separate parking fee.
