Good quality hotel. Close to shopping, close to beach. Nice breakfast. The only problem I had was that housekeeping kept ... knocking on the door and coming in every hour starting at 8 a.m.

Traveled for The Players at TPC Sawgrass - which is about 5 minutes away from hotel. Hotel is clean, has a convenient ... breakfast buffet and small gym and easy parking and is within walking distance or a short drive to several good restaurants. Air conditioner in room is loud and turns on and off throughout the night - making it a bit noisy for a light sleeper. Also, not much to look at considering strip-mall location, however, trees and shrubs help set it apart.

Stonewood Tavern next door is very good - excellent fish, healthy simply preparations if desired, good salads - friendly service. Great choice. Also very accommodating for this single diner even during busy evenings.

The Hampton Inn was convenient to the Mayo Clinic where my 81 year old mother was scheduled for treatment. The hotel was ... clean and attractive. The complimentary breakfast was yummy and the attendant was professional and attentive. The gym was adequate. One of the elevators with cardboard interior walls needed attention. Our hotel room had one king size bed for three adults but a room with 2 double beds was booked. At age 51 it had been years since I had slept in the same bed with my parents but the hotel staff did not offer a second room even though they stated that there were other identical rooms available.

The Hampton at Ponte Vedra/JAX Beach is in a great location to get the beaches or go South on A1A to St. Augustine. Not to ... mention the TPC is right down the street. This is our 4th year staying at the Hampton so we can attend the the FL/GA game.

The hotel was very convenient to shopping and the beach. We needed to be close to Jacksonville Beach for business and our ... drive from the hotel was only five minutes to where we needed to be. Our only complaint is that the breakfast, based on my stay at other Hampton Inns, was very limited on options. Other than that, it was a nice hotel. And, it was also about twenty five minutes to St.Augustine.

There seems to be a staff cutback since last visit. We tried to check in at around 5:00 pm, but we were third in line in ... front of an empty desk. After a 20 minute wait, desk personnel appeared. They reported that they went on duty at 3:30pm and had to help housekeeping staff clean and set up rooms. In the time they were gone, a potential customer left. There was no other indication of short staff, although in the 5 days there, the room was not vaccumed. Going some other place next time in Jacksonville.
