The rooms were clean and comfortable as any I've stayed in, the staff was very friendly and helpful. The building and grounds ... were well cared for which made it more suprising to find the pool in need of some serious sanitizing and vacuuming.

The Hampton Inn was first of all under construction. There was also no restaurant in the hotel. We had driven 15+ hrs so the ... last thing I wanted was to go out to a restaurant with them. It was a little cold in FLA but my kids were looking forward to a swim in the pool. The only pool was outside so they were very disspointed. I understand its FLA but its Jacksonville, more places should have indoor/outdoor pool options. The good news is the continental breakfast was excellent and that was great to have before getting back on the road to disney.

It was very convenient and very close to an event that we all attended while they were visiting. The hotel staff was very ... accomadating and allowed my guests to check-in the morning that they arrived. I have been informed that the room was very clean and very nice. My relatives had an outstanding stay at the hotel and it really made it easy for them to enjoy downtown Jacksonville. I will definitely keep this hotel in mind.
