We had a clean beautiful room, great free breakfast, easy walk to the ocean with an area we could set up our own umbrella and ... chairs. It was close to eating places, outlet malls, and Wal-Mart. In the afternoons, we used the pool which had both sunny and shady areas - for the different types of relaxing.Ice machine was handy and full, washer and dryers were user friendly and close at hand. It was great!

Short stop just to sleep. The pillows were comfortable, bed was ok. Very clean and smelled clean. Close to beach and dining. ... Nice free breakfast in the morning. Good value for the location and room.

If you have never been to Destin. It is a long strip of land (short drive in a car). I would suggest go down the strip starting @ Destin Commons (Shopping Ctr)and just drive and look @ some things you might want to do. There are loads of restaurants, shopping, and attractions. Once you pick out a few spots just plan your day, weekend, whole vacation based on your own taste. The one word of caution I would give is be patient. It seems like everywhere you go had a line. However, it wasn't that bad and I have two small children.

At first I was a little concerned about the location, I had only seen where it was on the internet. I was very pleased and ... surprised though once I got there. It was very close to the beach, w/in walking distance. The rooms were clean and neat, not run down at all. The staff was so nice too. The breakfast was not much to brag about but it served its purpose. The hotel was w/in minutes of the mall, outlet mall, and Harbor Walk (a must see). I would recommend this to anyone.

For 100 bucks a night I was very happy with the location. Just a very short walk from the sandy white beaches. I've been to ... Atlantic city, hilton head island,gulf shores and destin has the best beaches. The water is crystal clear and the super soft white beaches were great. There's a ton of places to eat and shop on the emerald cost highway. It's all there close in either direction. The dolphin tour was great and the pier a few miles west is a fisherman's dream. I'd go back there without a doubt. The only negative is the airport is close to the hotel with the emerald coast highway. It can be noisy at times.

The hotel was decent. I reserved non-smoking but they gave me a smoking room. However, once I told them about it they ... corrected immediately. Location is probably the best feature about the hotel. Although "NOT ON THE BEACH" you are literally a hop, skip, and a jump away. Across the street is an amusement park w/ go-carts, miniature golf, and arcade. Perfect for kids. There are two restaurants a few steps from the back door of the hotel. Did not go to either, but I am "assuming" one was good, there was always a line every time we went to the beach. There are restaurants across the street along w/ a kazillion others in the area. We went to the Twisted Grill and the food was excellent (kids eat free 4-7). Also not a bad spot for adults once the kids are gone. Great steak & seafood. The Donut Hole (West of the Hotel) Great place for breakfast. The hotel is not grand but it was not a flea-bag. The Hampton Inn is perfect for families w/ kids, friends looking to have a good time w/o paying a lot for lodging, couples who are looking for somewhere to lay their head after they hang out and have a good time. If you are looking for a hotel w/ a, romantic air, gourmet restaurant, and 24hr rm service this is not it. But if you are looking for somewhere to lay your head, that is clean, and has a nice staff, and not going to break the wallet - THIS IS THE PLACE.

Picked this hotel for easy access to the beach and was pleased with that and just about everything else. Hotel had right ... features (king size bed, mini-fridge, microwave, free Internet access, pool, spa and hot breakfast included in price, even a basketball court) and great location. If you're going to stay in a hotel in Destin, Florida, we recommend the Hampton Inn.

Old Bay Steamer if you like the steamer pot type of seafood. Harry T's also good for a variety of food at reasonable prices -- I particularly liked the fresh Tuna salad.

Very impressed with the customer service at this hotel. Best I have ever encountered. The room was smaller than I expected, ... however was very clean. Bed was extremely comfortable. The pool and hot tub could have been cleaner, still I highly recommend this hotel. You do not have to cross Hwy 98 to get to the beach which is a big plus.

Hampton Inn remains consistent. Everytime I've stayed in one, it's been satisfactory. Hampton Inn-Destin is no execption. ... The staff is friendly, informative and the rooms are what you would expect. We found our room to be comfortable, clean and conducive for our needs. Having a fridge and microwave in the room was wonderful!! Only negative drawback was we were just across from the vending machines and it's amazing how many people want soft drinks, snacks and ice at 1:30 AM. We were awakened a couple of times but that is the ONLY negative blurb of our experience. I will DEFINITELY stay there again.
