I traveled to Charlotte with 3 other friends to go to a concert. We stood one night at the Hampton Inn at Charlotte ... University place and it was great. It was located near the concert venue which was convenient for us. The rooms were clean, the internet was free, and the complimentary breakfast was great. If ever I'm in Charlotte again, I'll stay at this Hampton Inn.

Good proximity to Verizon Wireless Amphitheater

This was a solid hotel. It was clean, comfortable, and had all the basics you'd expect from a mid-priced hotel. The real ... advantage is the proximity to the Verizon Wireless Amphitheater to see concerts. It's only 3 miles from the venue. It is also close to downtown and UNC-Charlotte.
