Unsatisfactory for a Hampton Inn
Robert Sep 19, 2009
We found the experience at the Hampton Inn in Cambridge extremely incommensurate. Right from the start, we anticipated the ... stay was going to be unpalable. Only two cars were able to park by the entrance (no parking area anywhere else by the hotel), hotel parking garage held approximately twenty cars (if you couldn't find a parking cell the only measure in departing the garage was backing up down the one isle), the exercise room was closed due to repairs, room was small and there weren't any desirable restaurants within the hotel area.

If you go over to the subway station, you go underneath the subway tracks and take a left at the light there is the mall down the street to your left. If you do the duck tours, go to the science center stop which is the next stop, there are signs to get to the science center where there are the duck tours. You want to take the duck tours there because they are on the half hour, where the duck tours down at the wharf starts at 4pm and is on the hour.

nice stay
single traveler Jun 23, 2009
It was relaxing and nice. Could barely hear the traffic or the T outside my windows. Wish they would have told me about the ... thermostat so I was not freezing in my room it took me going to the front desk to have it figured out. Breakfast was great. Staff was not always at the front desk and no way to get anyone there I waited for five minutes to check in. Overall I would definetly stay there again.

Great stay at a nice hotel
Dave Jun 2, 2009
We stayed here one night in order to see Dave Matthews Band at Fenway Park. The Green Line T station is right across the ... street, making it super easy to get to Fenway, or anywhere else really. Friendly staff, free garage parking and breakfast included made this place a no-brainer for a comfortable stay. Would definitely stay here again and recommend...

Convenient location, great price
Ex Bostonian May 11, 2009
The location was almost right across the street from a T stop - making it easy to take the subway to anywhere in Boston, just ... a few minutes away from downtown Boston. A couple of issues with the hotel - we had to ask for washcloths and when they came (after we had left the hotel for the day - more than 1/2 hour after our request), they were crumpled up on the counter - looked like they had been used. Also, our wake up call (for 4:00 - for an early flight out of Logan) never came.

very hospitable
Elizabeth Sep 27, 2008
I found this hotel very comfortable. I had a queen sized bed, and found the room to be just right for me. My friends had a ... king sized bed, and thought their room was a bit small. The staff was very friendly, and we loved the breakfast. The rooms are extremely clean and the bathroom is stocked with individual sized lotions, shampoo, etc. The hotel is located directly across from the green line T stop, which makes it very convenient. It is the last stop, however, so sometimes we had to wait awhile for the train to arrive.

Good For Business or Pleasure
Raymond Jul 20, 2007
Conveniently located near the bus and train station in Cambridge, this hotel offered a clean and very comfortable room at an ... affordable price. I was able to conduct business easily with high speed internet access and plenty of desk space. My wife and duaghter had pleanty of room and no complaints about the bathroom or any other amenities. They were able to get to the shopping in Harvard Yard quickly from the bus station and the free breakfast was well presented with a nice variety.

Annual sister vacation
Martha Jul 6, 2007
We used the Hampton Inn as a bed and breakfast. The personnell were most accomodating at check-in and allowed one of my ... sisters to stay an hour past check-out since she became ill. The room would have been cramped if the three of us had spent more day time hours there. We appreciated the hot breakfast every morning and the US News paper. A Green Line train was across the street from the Inn and we used the train for most of our transportation to Boston.

A Little Hard to Find ... BUT ...
Kent Jun 10, 2007
This hotel is a little further away from central Cambridge and because street signs are almost non-existent, it was a bit ... difficult to find. For a City hotel tho, the room was adequate size and very serviceable on all accounts. I stayed in another Hampton Inn elsewhere and the room was larger (but perhaps because it was in a smaller city/town).
