I tried to be objective the beds are very clean and comfortable and rooms are nice, however the bathrooms look like they are ... falling apart. Mold, broken tubs HUGE cracks broken faucettes we burned ourselves as the water went Hot to Cold constantly. The staff moved us into a different room the first time becasue of a HUGE crack down the middle of the tub. They offer no compensation for their LACK of quality. It's a very DARK lit hotel and needs a face lift. It is a Vail Resort property with NO resort accomidations everything comes with a fee. However the area surrounding it in Breckenridge is beautiful and the shopping/ skiing is spectacular !

The Restaurant was not able to serve any of the foods we requested- out of stock. Waiting time about 45min. to find out those idems were not available. Beautiful town, great location. Breck is such a great town and a getaway during Oktoberfest was a big treat. This hotel ... really shows it's age. Although it looks as if a light remodeling has been done, it was very poorly planned. The bed was a huge dissapointment. What looked like a beautiful big, new king was actually a worn out original mattress so poor that my wife and I had to sleep only on one side, touching the edge. The right side was literally 12 inches lower than the middle and 6 inches lower than the right!

We discovered our room had no hot water late in the evening. An engineer was called & responded quickly; however, he could ... not fix the problem. The front desk was most accomodating...realizing it was late & we would not want to move, they provided us with the key for the room next door so that we could shower. We did move the next day since the problem was not fixed.

This hotel has a lot to offer for winter skiers (it is located right across the street from the Quicksilver Lift). However, ... if you are unfortunate enough to be housed on the upper floors, good luck reaching your room, you'll need a map and a good set of legs. The town of Breckinridge is the perfect anytime vacation destination with an abundance of recrational activities, shopping, dining, and community events for the active individual.

Nice weekend getaway
Getaway James May 9, 2009
Upon arrival they had upgrade our room from a regular hotel room to a suite, at no extra charge. However the ski season was ... over by this time of course. Still the room was very nice and it had a beautiful view of the town and its surroundings. The room very clean, but the hair dryer in the bathroom was not working. My wife called to the front desk and the desk clerk was rude and told her to wait a few minutes and retry it. She didn't listen to my wife when she told her that it wasn't working at all. After a second phone call, they sent a maintainence person to change it out which took a full 2 minutes. The room service staff was very nice and polite. The food was very good, however they didn't pick up our tray from outside the door for 2 whole days. This was a little disturbing. The town guide book in the room was very helpful and the lacation of the resort to downtown was with in walking distance or you could take the shuttle. Overall for a weekend getaway this was a nice place to stay and I would reccommend it.

The first evening we were there, we went to eat at about 7:30 or 8:00. We were unable to find any place open so we ended up having room service which was nice. I would be beneficial to have called ahead and found out what time place closed or if they were even open at that time.

This was our first time in Breckenridge so we had no idea of the layout, and we were so pleased to find we could walk outside ... the hotel straight to the slopes! The service was great - especially appreciated the personal free shuttle service that picked us up within minutes of calling after a night out on the town. I would certainly recommend this hotel to others and would go back there myself!

Great experience with the hotel. Friendly staff helped arrange shuttles between Breckenridge and Vail, picking up/dropping ... off at the hotel. Also stored bags for free. If you're in the North tower you will have a lot of walking/stairs/elevators to get there, but very clean and quiet rooms. I took advantage of the $99/night rate, booking well in advance, and we had great snow Presidents' Day Weekend (with no lines at Breckenridge). I've stayed here a number of times and will continue to do so. Very close to the Beaver Run lifts and walking distance to town/restaurants/grocery.

Great Divide Lodge - Breckenridge
Jay G Mar 3, 2009
Hotel is directly across from a parking lot which is connected to Peak 9 access (50 ft walk to ski out/ski in). This made the ... location "Prime". The hotel was comfortable and cozy. A humidifier was included in our room which helped tremendously. Room itself was a step up from basic, but we were rarely there. (only for sleeping). Town access with restaurants and shopping is within 3 blocks (a nice walk uphill coming back). Overall a nice place!

Great Stay - Cya again in the future!!
Sweenmeister Mar 3, 2009
Only two disappointments were that they stopped offering robes, which were nice to have as you were making your way back from ... the hot tubs, and that the charge for a 3pm late check-out was like $45. (No charge for a noon check-out.) Since the slopes don't close until then, it would be nice if they cut guests a lil' more slack there.

Downstairs at Eric's is my girlfriend and I's favorite restaurant in Breck. 'The Hot Boid', their warm turkey sandwich, is delicious!! We craved it for a whole year between ski seasons. =P Haven't had a bad thing there yet - and the beer selection is great!

Very nice hotel next to slopes
KC Mar 3, 2009
This was a great hotel, particularly for the price paid. The lobby is beautiful, and the staff was very friendly. It was ... convenient to be able to rent ski equipment from the shop located inside the hotel and also to be able to store the skis free each night. To reach the slopes you just grabbed your skis and walked across the street and through a parking lot and were right next to the Peak 8 (or maybe 9) lift. Our room had two queen beds, a fold out couch, refrigerator and small kitchenette sink, and a small deck that provided a great background view for pictures. I would stay here again for the convenience.

The Great Divide Hotel is located just across the street from the chair lift for peak 9 at Breckenridge. This makes it very ... convienent for skiing. it is an easy walk from the hotel to the slope. Also the hotel is near the downtown area of Breckenridge which has many dining choices. There are free shuttle buses that stop in front of the hotel. These will take you to shopping and dining. Overall it was a great place to stay and I would recommend it.

Go to the French bakery in town, it was delicious!! Also, try to stay below the 7th floor or you will have to take two elevators to get to your room. We were on the 6th so it wasn't a problem, but the elevators are slow and you might not want to wait. The views may be better though, not sure.
