City of London
Driving through the financial centre you will learn about the Great Fire of 1666 and the Blitz of 1940-41. You will also see the Bank of England and the home of the Lord Mayor, The Mansion House.
St. Paul´s Cathedral
Next, you arrive at Sir Christopher Wren’s masterpiece and the scene of Lady Diana’s wedding to Prince Charles. The present building, completed in 1708, replaced the medieval Cathedral destroyed in the Great Fire of London. There will be time to enjoy the piazza restaurants and shops.
The Tower of London & Crown Jewels
During its 1000-year history this impressive fortress has been a royal palace, prison, mint and zoo. It has seen three Queens of England beheaded, and the torture of numerous prisoners, stretched on the rack and crushed in the Scavenger’s Daughter. You will also see the famous Crown Jewels including the dazzling Cullinan diamonds and the exquisite Koh-i-Noor, ,as well as the Bloody Tower, Traitors’ Gate, the Royal Chapel and the White Tower, built by King William the Conqueror in 1078.
Cruise on the River Thames
You will end the tour in spectacular style with a wonderful river cruise enjoying superb views of Tower Bridge, London Bridge, the London Eye, House of Parliament, Shakespeare’s Globe theatre, the Tate Modern and much more.
