My friend and I were so glad to have stayed here. It was so nice and the decor was luxurious. Everything was very nice. Super ... quiet and very clean. The location to many gay bars, dining, and metro made me happy. A single traveler would be happy here. The only bad thing that happened during the trip was the maid stole water and a red bull from the bar. We didnt even know there was one! They did not charge us so it was not a problem.

This hotel was great for our leisure purposes. The rooms were clean and modern, the water was safe for drinking, and the ... location was spectacular. You could easily get to Plaza de Reforma, which is one of the main drags of Mexico City. Additionally, we got great advice from the evening concierge, [...]. He hooked us up with a tour, gave advice on casual and nice restaurants, and greeted us nicely each time we entered or left the hotel. I woudl definitely stay there again.

Excellent service, The stuff is really friendly. The key to have a better service is to leave 10 pesos for the cleaning ... lady.... They really treat me like royalty. I did have a problem with the hair dryer but they took care of it. I would recommend this place for sure.

Daniil Jan 4, 2009
Stayed in Galleria Plaza hotel on my New Year vacation in Mexico city. Very good location in Zona Rosa, very close to the ... metro station, plentry of restaurants around, 5 minutes taxi ride to the Zocalo, if train is not for you. The hotel has a pool and a gym, but I did not have a chance to use either of them. WiFi is available for free in the business center in the lobby and you can also get it in your room, but I believe you have to pay for it. Overall the experience was great.

GOOD, but...
Patricia Dec 19, 2008
I travel to Mexico City on business once a month and have been trying various hotels in the Zona Rosa since my office moved ... from Colonia Napoles. So far, Galeria Plaza is one of the best, in terms of service, quality of hotel, etc...BUT try as I could, I just couldn't get used to that bed. It was INCREDIBLY hard, even by Mexican standards. The room service staff tried to make a make-shift topper, but to no avail. For any visitor with back and kidney problems, I would suggest to stay at another hotel. The other problem was the 20 USD charge daily for internet. Steep, even by US standards. Location is great...just off of the more busier streets in the Zona Rosa, so it isn't as loud. The staff is great and pretty intuitive to their guest's needs- especially comforting if you are a woman traveling alone, or a tourist with limited Spanish-speaking skills...they just seem to look out for you a little more. If you don't mind my only BUTs, then you should definitely stay at this hotel.

We found an authentic Japanese restaurant near our hotel. Walk Varsovia street down toward Paseo de la Reforma, then Cross the Reforma to the other side. You'll see the sign Mikado. Sushi and Tempura are bery popular among local Mexican diners. But we recommend Gyoza and Yasai Itame (stir-fried vegetables).
