Well located and caring staff

I usually like to stay in larger hotels but this intimate smaller hotel was a great choice. Although it lacked a pool and ... gym for our short stay (2.5 days) the location, staff and amenities were perfect. The only room available when the room was booked was an executive room - basically the same as a regular room with the addition of a computer/fax/printer but not worth the extra money. The pictures on the web make it look like a much larger, more luxurious room - but that might just be an upgrade from the one we received. The complimentary breakfast was plentiful, afternoon wine and cheese gave us a nice break from sightseeing and evening milk and cookies a fun treat. The front desk staff was knowledgeable and helpful. The hotel is very quiet and the other hotel guests tend to be friendly and chatty - if you like to socialize with other guests there are lots of opportunities due to the fact that you are "fed" several times a day. My husband's favorite hotel "extra" were the two big pitchers filled with M & M's. I would stay there again.

I was skeptical of the carriage ride (I'm originally from NYC) but it was great! Packed with information, historical facts, legend and jokes. We took the tour from Palmetto Tours - even got a discount coupon from the concierge at the hotel!

Great location, hospitality, and etc....
M.Jackson Aug 30, 2009
Staying at the French Quarter Inn was amazing. This hotel is centrally located in the heart of downtown Charleston, S.C. ... Anything and everything is located mere blocks from the hotel. The Waterfront, Battery, King Street (Shopping), Meeting street, etc. Afternoon Wine & Cheese is only surpassed by the evening turn-down service and fresh baked cookiesand complimentary milk. The next time we visit Charleston, we will be staying at the French Quarter Inn.

Fun Weekend with the French Quarters
Jennifer Jul 23, 2009
The French Quarter Inn is a wonderful hotel, convenient to all of Charlestons shopping and dining. It's right beside the ... "Market" and in the middle of the Historic District. We loved the location and the service was "first class". A pool would have been a welcome amenity on a very hot afternoon, but other than that, we loved it! We arrived with 3 adults and were put in a room with only a king bed. (Orbitz needs to guarantee double beds for groups of 3). The helpful guests relations specialist at the French Quarter Inn straightened that out for us immediately and our stay was very enjoyable.

Elegance with great amenities & location
Robert Oct 17, 2008
The French Quarter Inn was better than expected, and we were expecting a lot. The reason for our stay was to celebrate a ... special anniversary, and the staff was fabulous and treated us so well. We received a complimentary bottle of champagne, which we thought was such a nice touch. We were given great advice for dining and things to do. It was such a relaxing, cozy, elegant place to stay. My husband was especially fond of the complimentary wine and cheese service served every evening. We will recommend the French Quarter Inn to all our friends.

The French Quarter Inn is perfect for the frequent traveler who needs to stay in contact with the rest of the world. The ... junior suite is affordable, large, and has a small business area with a desk, chair, computer, and printer/fax. What more could any one want. Additionally, it is very centrally located, but also very quiet. Speaking of hospitality, there is a refreshing morning breakfast, afternoon wine and cheese, and evening cookies. Every floor has fresh coffee and tea all day long!

Excellent comfort and location
Janet Feb 8, 2008
The French Quarter Inn was a centrally located hotel with courteous, efficient service. The lobby is large and well ... appointed. A computer is provided for guests in the lobby. From the champagne and lady fingers upon check-in, deluxe continental breakfast served in the room or lobby, wine, cheese and fruit in the afternoon and cookies and milk and turn-down pralines, a guest could skip meals. It is one block from a covered market and very close to many restaurants. One can find many fine-dining restaurants serving low-country specialities as well as modest local diners. The room was larger that most with a bathroom that was large and had a nice assortment of toiletries. They supplied a luggage rack for all three of us. This was the quietest hotel I have ever stayed in.
