Stay in Savannah
Tim & Lisa Sep 17, 2009
The hotel was very nice. but it was in a shakey location, right on the edge of downtown and the scarey part of the ... neighborhood. We did, however, feel we could walk to Starbucks and the historic distict without worrying if we were going to get mugged. All in all it was close to everything and very posh in style. We would recommend this place to others.

If you are a Starbucks fan, a few blocks down and a few blocks into town is very doable. If you want to forgo the trolley rides ( which we learned not to take), you can get on your hiking shoes and walk the whole historic district in a short day! grab a map and a camara and have fun!

Great Place to Stay!!
KC09 May 19, 2009
Great Hotel, we really enjoyed our stay in Savannah!! This was our first time visiting beautiful Savannah and we can't wait ... to go back. The hotel was very nice and clean, the only thing was that it was a bit noisy. There were a bunch of kids yelling at the pool on Friday afternoon/night and Saturday morning...the time when we needed rest the most. Other than that it was wonderful.

Choose another hotel in Savannah
Shih Tzu Lover May 8, 2009
If you're traveling to Savannah, choose another hotel. Before making our reservation on Orbitz I called the property to ... confirm that small pets were permitted at this hotel. The reservation agent at the hotel assured me over the phone that I could bring my dog. We arrived at the hotel around noon (before the stated check-in time of 3:00) and were advised that they had a full house the night before and no rooms were cleared for check-in. The desk agent took my cell phone number and said he would call me as soon as a room was ready. When we had not heard back by 3:00, we returned to the hotel with our 10 lb. Shih Tzu in tow. We received an astonished look from the two desk agents and [...], Assistant General Manager, who told us that under no condition could we stay at the hotel with a dog. We explained that we confirmed by phone earlier that morning that pets were allowed, even showing him the outgoing call (phone number and time) on my cell phone screen. [...] said I could talk all day and not convince him that someone from their hotel said pets were allowed. Fortunately the Orbitz agent was extremely helpful in locating another hotel close by. So much for being a valued Sheraton customer, as I recevied no help from their unprofessional, discourteous staff. There are a lot of hotel choises in Savannah, so why not choose one where your business is valued.

Orbitz mistake...
Jenna and Zach Mar 3, 2009
We went to Savannah for a Valentine's Day get away and planned on staying just for one night. When we arrived at check-in, we ... were told that the jetted tub that we paid for as well as the king bed rooms were all over booked and they couldn't get us a room with either of the accommodations. As a romantic evening for the two of us, the jetted tub was the main reason why we chose the hotel that we did. Orbitz never got back to us about this mistake, but the way that the hotel staff handled it was A+! They gave us a free breakfast for two at their buffet style breakfast. This was delicious and we had several options (bacon, ham, sausage, eggs and for the vegetarian make-your-own waffles, fresh fruit, bagels, cereal, soy milk and so much more). Also, although unexpected, we rented a movie and they discounted that off of our ticket as well. And in the morning when we woke up late, we called the office and wanted a late check out and they gave us until 2pm which is VERY late for most hotels. We are typically lucky if we can check out by noon! Overall, the hotel stay was wonderful. The room was beautiful and spacious, the LCD TV pulled out right over our bed, the bed was SOOOO comfortable we didn't want to leave it and the staff was so friendly. Orbitz made a mistake but the hotel staff really made up for it with their friendly personalities and knowledgeable comments. :)

Brandi Nov 15, 2008
Arrived as late check in. No hassles with room, parking, or staff. The room was very comfortable and ready for my arrival. ... Plenty of towels and toiletries. It was close to River Street and Bay Street. I felt very safe to walk downtown from this location. I was allowed to keep my car in valet parking even after check out to shop. I would recommend anyone to stay as I plan to do the same the next time I travel to downtown Savannah.

We came down with other family members for the graduation our my grandson from Parris Island. The Hotel was close to the ... River Walk which was very enjoyable and offered shops and restaurants within walking distance. The Hotel itself had a very nice bar and restaurant which allowed for a place for all the family to meet and plan our day and meet at the end of the day. Did find though that the bar tenders were a little overwhelmed at serving more than a few people at a time. Overall though, very enjoyable stay.

The Four Points Sheraton was convenient to most attractions. Off the beaten path alittle but close enough to walk to most ... places. I was disappointed that the room did not have a small refrigerator nor a micro-wave but the bed and the linens were very nice and comfortable. Also, the hotel did not have a hair dryer in the room. This hotel reminded me of a busines friendly hotel - simple and streamlined. The staff were all friendly and receptive. For the money I would stay there again.

Very Friendly Staff
Benita Aug 3, 2008
I was very impressed with the friendlinessand cleanliness with the hotel. Everything was so well kept up and we were always ... greeted with hellos and do you need anything just let them know. It was close to the River Front and was easy to find anything within walking distance. I also liked the fact that it was not a huge hotel and we didn't run into huge crowds of people. We did run into a little problem with being next door to someone with small children and the noise got a little loud at times but the staff assured us if we needed to be moved, they would have no problem getting us a different room. I definitely would stay there again on our next trip to Savannah but woould pick a better time of the year since it was so hot and humid. Another good factor was that the air conditioning worked great which you definitely needed.
