Was perfect just outside of Heavenly Village it gives you that secluded wood cabin feel but you are just minutes from the ... Village and the Casino's. The one bedrrom suite was huge and the staff was friendly.

My partner and I stayed at Forest Suites for our five-year anniversary trip. This was our first trip to Lake Tahoe and ... enjoyed our stay. The resort was near all casinos and Heavenly Village gondolas (closed for season while we visited) and everything is within walking distance. We were surprised with on check in with a free room upgrade.

Loved the location, it's next to everything. The hotel room was big, but the decor was old. The room also smelled musty. The ... sink faucet in the bathroom needed to be fixed and looked like it was installed in the 60's. Other then that it was nice and cheap. I would stay again.

I was here for a wedding recently and was upgraded to the suite. It felt like someone's apartment so I decided to have the ... wedding party come over for drinks after the rehearsal/casino. It went over well and the was plenty of room for 12 of us. The only complaint was some of the towels had stains that were none too pleasant. However, I would go there again for the price!

The Forest Suites Resort was perfect for us! We were in Tahoe for a wedding and picked this hotel because it was a 1 bedroom ... suite with a living room and kitchen. The room was renovated with air conditioning and very clean. The location was absolutely perfect! We were a block away from casinos, shops and a grocery store. This hotel is located right at Heavenly Village which has over 100 shops and restaurants. We took a gondola ride which was fun- the view is amazing! This hotel gives you a beach pass for up to 6 people and the private beach is a 4 block walk- very nice! I would recommend that you call ahead and request a renovated room with ac because I know that all of the rooms have not been updated yet. The free breakfast was great too- we loved our stay!!!!

This hotel is in a great location for the winter slopes and to the casinos, but it is old. Our room door was open when we ... checked in and open when we came back on the second day after it was cleaned. Fortunately, nothing was lost. But when I told the front desk about the open door upon checking out, they did not apologize or seem to even care. Also, with all the stories about hotel room bed covers, this hotel fell into that group. We removed the covers and put them in the closet, only to have them back on the bed after the room was cleaned the next day.

This hotel was not in the best shape, floors were uneven in our room but for the most part the location was great for the ... pricing. We were able to walk to the casinos that we wanted to go to. The pool area was nice and inviting. Everyone we saw seemed to be enjoying themselves. It is not your upscale hotel but I enjoy having a living room and kitchen area when I stay overnight. Having the option of having your own kitchen is well worth it. I would stay here again. The price compared to the casino hotels provided us with so much fun money that it was worth walking on an uneven floor.

We have stayed here a half dozen times in the last 15 or so years and love the location which is just over the California ... line and right under the gondola. The staff is friendly and the grounds are well kept, but that is where the pluses end. While the suites are still large and comfortable, it appears little to no money has been spent on upkeep and updating of the facilities. The carpet is badly worn and soiled in the hallways and almost as bad in the rooms. Room and bathroom decor is outdated and the drainage is poor. I would recommend it if they spend a bunch of money, otherwise I seriously doubt it will survive.

Forest Suites Resorts was not my first choice for the stay in Lake Tahoe. I was attending a wedding and we where given other ... places to stay but I didn't book in time so I choose Forest Suites. It was much better than what others got that booked the other places. The rooms where huge. The morning breakfast was more than coffee and donuts. They had someone at the front desk when I arrived late at night to check in. Other people attending the wedding had problems at their hotels when they arrived at the same time. I would definately book again. This was even a good hotel for sking as the location and the size of the rooms would make lots of room for the ski gear.....and full kitchen,who could ask for more.

Forest Suites Resort would not be on my return list. The location was central and within walking distance of stores, ... casinos, etc. The first overview was OK but the room has a very small bathroom and not well kept, there was hair behind the door that remained the four days that we stayed. Our room faced the houskeeping area which was quite noisy: Spanish radio station from the early hours and constant laundering until midnight, we assumed the resort did all of their own laundry on site. The shower nozzle fell off while taking a shower and the hot and cold faucets were reversed on the sink. The complimentary breakfast was good if you happened to get there at the right time, otherwise the items needed restocking and you either went without or waited. Our room wasn't ready on arrival and we were told they would call us when it was available, we never received a call.
