Fiesta Americana Los Cabos
Serenity Now Nov 12, 2009
Spent a week at the Fiesta Americana Grand for a friend's wedding in the heat of July. It was so hot that all you could do ... was sit in the pool (not a bad thing). However, the air conditioning failed us a few times, and we actually moved to different rooms twice. Also, keep an eye on your bill: we were billed multiple times for nights that we didn't stay, charges we never made, and breakfasts that should have been free. Staff was nice and friendly, but really REALLY wanted tips. However, I'd go back in a heartbeat.

We loved this hotel. We expected it to be very nice and it easily surpassed our expectations. The pools were the highlight ... for us, especially my daughter. It takes a little effort to get to town and may not be a good fit for those looking for some night life. But I highly recommend this hotel for families that want to spend time on a nice beach, eat great food and enjoy the beatiful pools. The service was top notch too.

A Wonderful Hotel
Faith Nov 1, 2008
All help at the hotel were gracious and friendly and went out of their way to please their guests. The varieties of food ... were priced reasonably and restaurants were open from early morning until late at night. Fiesta Americana has at least 5 swimming pools where people were able to lounge in the sun or shade and not feel crowded. Rooms are spacious, modern, and clean with ocean and pool views. This hotel is striving to become a 5-star property, and, I feel that it certainly exceeded my high standards for hotels.

Great get-away
Jeanie Sep 28, 2008
The Fiesta Americana was a lovely hotel, clean and excellent service. Our room was lovely with a great view. However, there ... was one long hallway that you had to traverse if you used the elevator to go down to the pool level that smelled extremely musty, in spite of the fact, that it appeared very clean. The smell was strong enough to annoy. Also, they had only two restaurants available, which is difficult, as you cannot go elsewhere without a taxi. Our largest complaint was the very heavy handed trying to push you into a travel club presentation before they would even take you to your room. One wall in the gift shop right next to all the snacks, was covered with ants. When I brought it to the cashiers attention, she just shruggged and said there is nothing they can do and they were present every day.

Corey Jun 28, 2008
While on the pricey side, the Fiesta Americana makes the extra effort, with an escort to the room followed by a 'fresh fruit' ... delivery. The room was smaller than I wanted, but very clean and nice--GREAT view of ocean and poolS. The pools were excellent (dark blue tiles and a swim-up bar). Great service at the pools also. Can not swim in ocean due to 'under-tow'. The spa looked great, but we only used the exercise room--which was minimal on equipment, but enough for a total workout. Overall, a great experience.

The Feista Americana Grand Los Cabos is located on the Corridor between San Lucas and San Jose Del Cabo, which made it ... convenient to visit each city. The hotel's accomodations were very good. They have several restaurants in the hotel and the house-keeping services were very sufficient.

I have stayed at the two Grand Fiesta American properties in Cabo and Cancun seven times and they never disappoint. The room ... is good but the facility, pool and grounds are supurb. I have worked the last twenty years for Lexus and stay at five star hotels around the world frequently. This hotel makes the grade. I notice at the best of the best the hotel staffs makes eye contact and offer a pleasant greeting. Here as well. It was a pleasure.

Craig Aug 10, 2007
The food at this hotel was overpriced and not so great. The staff kept trying to sell us a time share the second we steped ... in the lobby. If you speak Spanish this is the hotel for you. Don't expect to see too many Americans vacationing here. Expect to pay $5.50 for using the packaged coffee in your room. Best: View from our room, swimming in water, room service, and ocean front cabanas.

Nice hotel if you're looking for low-key
Scott Jul 5, 2007
This hotel was nice all around -- the staff were friendly, the hotel (and room) were very clean, and the hotel grounds were ... well maintained. Overall, this hotel is very quite so if you're looking for a party-like atmosphere then this isn't the place for you; however,if you're looking to simply relax by the pool or beach then it's perfect. At night a flamenco guitar player performed by the pool. You can take a cab into Cabo San Jose or Cabo San Lucas (since the hotel is in between both) if you're looking for a little adventure. The hotel is pretty long cab ride from the airport -- take a shuttle to save money or ride with others. I only had two real complaints about this hotel. The restaurants didn't offer much Mexican food (mostly Americanized food). Second, the service is somewhat slow. When sitting by the pool or beach I began to order 2 drinks so that I had something in reserve since the waiter came around relatively infrequently.

Beautiful Atmosphere, No Excitement
Tonya May 24, 2007
The location and beauty of the grounds was incredible. This is a great place to relax if that is what you are interested in ... doing. The only thing we didn't like was the lack of any nightlife. The pools would have been more fun if they had some organized activities to get people involved and get acquainted. It would also keep people at the hotel. We spent alot of time going other places to eat, etc. because is was too quiet and there was nothing going on. Serenity is great to a certain extent but they need some other options for those who are getting bored! The cab ride into town is expensive. The food, drinks, and staff were great!
