The castle exterior promises fun and adventure - which is exactly what you'll find inside Excalibur, one of the most recognizable landmarks of Las Vegas. Located in the heart of the famed Las Vegas Strip, Excalibur offers exceptional value and a range of dining and entertainment options in a setting that's fun, not fancy.
Excalibur offers three floors of excitement. The property's main level is home to one of the friendliest, most exciting casinos on the Strip. Downstairs, visitors of all ages will find fun along the carnival midway. Excalibur's Castle Walk, a promenade above the casino, features a variety of shops and street vendors that recreate the ambiance of a Medieval bazaar. Scattered throughout the property are dining and entertainment venues that emphasize quality, value and friendliness.
Amenities:
The hotel's outdoor spaces include two huge pools, a man-made mountain, dramatic waterfalls and two thrilling water slides. The 2007 new and improved pool complex expands on the two existing and landscaped pools to feature additional spa areas, relaxing & reflecting pools, fire pits and other amenities.
The 13,000-square-foot Royal Treatment Spa and Fitness Center offers massages, facials, a fitness center and separate pools and saunas for men and women. The bright, modern facility neighbors Excalibur's pool area.
Castle Walk is home to restaurants, stores and a food court with familiar favorites like Pizza Hut, McDonald's, Quizno's, Cold Stone Creamery, Starbuck's and Krispy Kreme Doughnuts (open 24 hours!).
Excalibur's 100,000-square-foot casino is famous as a fun and friendly place to play. It's full of hot slot games as well as video poker, blackjack, craps, roulette, baccarat, pai gow and keno. Excalibur's all-new poker room places the wildly popular game into the center of the casino floor and a 150-seat sports book features a television at each seat. Casino players earn comps, cash back and invitations to special events through the Excalibur player's club.
An elevated tram connects the hotel with neighboring sister hotels Mandalay Bay and Luxor.
A Resort Fee of $7.50 per room, per night, will be charged at the front desk. This includes fitness center access each day of guests' stay; two (2) beverages and/or well drinks in any casino bar; two (2) games per stay at Excalibur's Midway entertainment venue; and unlimited local telephone calls from guest rooms. Long distance domestic calls are just 10 cents per minute.
*** Guests must be 21 or older to check in. Maximum stay is 10 nights - Excalibur will not honor a booking longer than 10 nights. ***

Our Hotel was on The Strip and in a great location. We had public transportation right there. The Conceirge Desk was helpful. ... There was plenty to do in the Hotel. The Women's Spa was great and affordable. Negatives were numerous. The Hotel staff did not Speak english well. The pools were small. Housekeeping did not vaccuum our room and they made the beds up sloppy. The room we were in was in need of a remodel. There was torn wallpaper.

Right off the bat, the clerk at the registration desk had a chip on her shoulder. She became agitated that I was unwilling ... to pay an extra $20/night for a room with a safety box. The hotel was essentially empty and she would not offer any upgrade. Next, I went to the health spa...unlimited access was part of the $8.40/day "resort fee." When I tried to get a locker, I was told that use of the locker room, shower, sauna, and steam was an extra $5 per day. Do I need to go any further??? I have one more comment; the leftovers from my neighbor's room service meal sat in the hallway the entire 3 nights I was there.

Make sure you get quotes from each hotel you consider that include any of these "resort fees" or "surcharges" before you book. What might seem like a bargain, could end up costing as much as the Bellagio.

Really fun place to be. Perfect for a bunch of friends or family. It seems to have a reputation for being just a family or ... kid type palce. But we thought the opposite. One of the better atmospheres to kick back and have some fun. The pool is nice, the casino is fun, good food all around and you dont feel like you will get in trouble for spilling a drink like in some other hotels. Really fun for people of all ages.

Concierege people were very annoying & nagging you every time you passed through the casino part of the hotel to get free ... tickets to a show, however, they were NOT free - you had to spend 1 day of your vacation with them and tour a new hotel. It wasn't bad the first time they asked, but when we were asked EVERY time we walked past their desk, it got old very quickly!

Excalibur
Ben C Oct 28, 2009
The Excalibur is in an excellent location. It is accessible to both the Luxor & Mandalay Bay via monorail & New York, New ... York via elevated crosswalk. For entertainment, we had fun bouncing between the many penny & 2-cent slot machines @ the hotel and connecting hotels. It had a decent variety of fast-food restaurants if living on the cheap. Everything in the 24-hour store was extremely over priced though. The room was adequete. Only two complaints - the alarm clock didn't keep the right time and reset. Ten minutes in to our stay a person knocked on our door and then continued to unlock the door and come in. They said they were wanted to take inventory of the room. We were hesitant at first, but I asked a few questions to make sure they were legit. It was still weird & disturbing that they just opened the door though.

Buy an all day pass to the monorail if you plan on traveling up & down the strip. You can catch the south-end stop at the MGM Grand (take walkway from Excalibur, to NY NY, to MGM.

Be sure to take in the shows as the 2 we took in were both great. Chris Angel was great (5 out of 5 on a 5 star rating) and "O" was FANTASTIC and would be accorded a 10 star rating. Lots of good deals to be found for supper along the strip - look in the Miracle Mile shops and restuarants. Set a day aside and take the day trip to the Grand Canyon - it was well worth the time and money.
