Great hotel in a great location!
Champion Travelers Oct 16, 2009
This hotel was great for the DC trip we planned. We were able to take the Metro train from the airport to the hotel (a short ... walk). Our room was very nice and large enough that a 5 day stay didn't feel crowded or messy. The cooked-to-order breakfast gave us the energy needed to walk to and from the monuments and museums we wanted to visit. We always made it back to the hotel about the time of the Manager's Reception. This was a great pick-me-up that provided time to discuss dinner plans and the next day's adventures. The staff was always friendly and helpful with every request we made. We would definitely return to this hotel.

We found that the best way to reach this hotel from the Metro was to get off at Metro Station and then proceed through the Grand Hyatt instead of exiting to the street. Once you walk straight through the lobby you come out and are facing ES-CC across a parking lot .

In DC for long weekend. Location was great. Easy to get to from National Aiport via Metro. Employees we dealt with were ... fabulous. Tommy at check-in and Aza the Concierge get extra points from us! The breakfast & happy hour are a bonus! There's lots more to see in DC & we'll be back at the Embassy Suites.

Our main focus of this family trip was all the historical museum's which was a good walk, but we were able to see different ... places to eat, took the bus a couple of times, easy! Hotel breakfast was wonderful, staff was friendly, informative, the only catch is when ordering room service, they add the tip so don't add again, our only mistake. Beds were comfy, even the pullout. We would stay again!

This hotel was by far one of the nicest places I have stayed. I was in D.C. for business and arrived one day early to enjoy ... the city. Unfortunately, after my first night I had to switch hotels. I wish I had stayed the entire time at the Embassy Suites. Although I did not bring children on this trip, I noticed many families. If I had not seen all of the people at the breakfast buffet, I would never have known I did not have the hotel all by myself. I would definately return and stay at this hotel again.

Best Hotel Stay of Our Lives
Tea Party Patriot Sep 21, 2009
We LOVED our stay at this Embassy Suites. The staff went out of their way to help us with traveling inconveniences and ... allowed us to check in very early, and even eat the delicious free breakfast even though we hadn't stayed there the night before. They allowed us to store our luggage there all day on our final day since our departure was so late in the day. They were so friendly and went out of their way to make our stay perfect. The facility is beautiful and the breakfast was out of this world!! I can't believe it's free. Thanks to this experience, we will be life long embassy suites customers where ever we travel.

We were there to see the sights. Did a lot of walking. Really enjoyed our stay at the Embassy Suites. Needed more information ... about restaurants. The Inn's restaurant wasn't the best. Service and menu. Also, bar too close to dining area. Staff was fantastic. Always pleasant and helpful.

soleil Sep 18, 2009
I traveled D.C by myself this time. Location was very convenient to reach anywhere. But hotell staff service was totally not ... friendly and almost no smile there. Maybe if they take care just business people, it will be ok. But they will lose customer like family who are visiting on holiday. Because not comfortable at all due to their attitude.

An Unexpectedly Terrific Experience!
The Weary Traveler Sep 16, 2009
I travel lots, and Washington can be expensive. All the usuals were booked these days so I tried the Suites. A friend ... toured the neighborhood the night before and recommended against it, although it was convenient to Capitol Hill and our meetings. What a delightful surprise! Beautifully decorated. Terrific service throughout. Great food. Lovely suite. Reasonable price. I was really surprised and look forward to a return visit.

Great value, especially when a tremendous breakfast (buffet or made to order)is included in the price. A family of four ... could save $60 a day or more just from the breakfast. Great location. Most things like shopping, site seeing, restaurants are within walking distance. for those thing that at further away there are many economical transportation options available. Quiet: Very little to no street noise and never heard a thing from adjoining rooms. Staff and Crew: Very courtious and helpful. The housekeeping staff was the best I have ever encountered.

There are a number of sightseeing transportation options available. We found two or three that offered multi-day tickets and multiple stops where you can do your own thing.

Not the best Embassy Suites, just decent
Mom of 3 Sep 14, 2009
Location was pretty good. You are really close to Chinatown which offered several places to eat. Walking distance to White ... House, the Capital and museums which was nice. The room was nice and spacious. The downsides were the beds were not very comfortable. Did not rest well secondary to uncomfortable bed. Also, we stay at lots of Embassy Suites and this one had a breakfast that just didn't even compare to most other Embassy Suites. Very small and limited food. People were nice and had a nice restaurant in the lobby.

goodhotel for sightseeing in downtown DC
One day sightseer Sep 13, 2009
In a nice area of town, convenient to subway for quick trip to mall area- about three blocks away. Parking in huge lot across ... street is cheaper $20 ( although no in and out) than valet parking. Breakfast omlettes are good and different than the usual breakfast fare. Suite is great if you need separate bedroom for kids or snorers. Got a great price for downtown DC by signing up for a non-refundable reservation. Only negative- TV sound in living room kept cutting out.

Fantastic Experience
Jeff Sep 8, 2009
Everyone at the hotel was extremely friendly (the bellman even drove us to Dulles Airport in a Lincoln Town car, for the same ... price as a taxi). The first night that we were there, the power for the entire hotel and surrounding buildings went out. The manager updated us over the loud speaker every once and a while and they provided free snacks and drinks to keep everyone comfortable and happy. Also, the location, in my opinion, was perfect. It was just far enough away from all of the touristy stuff that it was quiet near the hotel. But the Mall, museums and monuments were only a 10-15 minute walk away. Breakfast was really good, especially for a free breakfast. All in all, I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone who is going to Washington D.C.

If you haven't done the DC Ducks tour, do it! It's a great way to get to see the city, from land and water! If you get Captain Dale and the duck with the padded seats, even better!
