Overall a good stay
Amy Oct 13, 2009
Overall I'd say the hotel stay was good. We were in town for the Eagles game - we arrived Saturday evening and stayed through ... Monday morning. We liked that the hotel was in a good location, the staff was friendly and effecient, and the room was pretty comfortable for our weekend stay. Our only complaints were that the tv didn't work, the shower pressure kept fading in and out while in use, and that there were only 3 small elevators to accomodate so many people, it was hard to get an elevator quickly.

Great option for a couple with a toddler
Kerry Jul 13, 2009
We checked in on a Saturday for a triathlon that I was participating in on Sunday. We were able to check in early, which was ... great because we had two bicycles that we were able to secure in the suite before driving around town. The staff was friendly, the facility was clean, and it was in a pretty good location for touristy stuff (although we didn't really do any). The suite was an excellent option for us, because we were able to put our 1-year old to bed in the bedroom, then close the door and still sit up reading and watching television. I wasn't able to go to the "complimentary cooked-to-order breakfast" the next morning, because it didn't start until seven a.m., but my husband went and said the "cooked-to-order" aspect consisted of an unmanned omelet station. The only other food available was toast, muffins, and yogurt. He would have appreciated at least a box of cereal or some milk or juice he could have grabbed on his way out! All in all, a good experience, and we'd recommend it and do it again, but we won't count on the breakfast!

If you are going to the zoo, or anywhere else not within walking distance, take public transportation! We weren't able to find a single open parking lot at the zoo, and ended up getting lost in one of the worst areas of the city. Our GPS was very confused due to the close proximity of streets to each other, so that was no help!

Good value, balconies with each room

I booked this hotel for a bachelorette party. All of the rooms are suites (most with pullout sofas), so it was nice that all ... 5 of us could stay in 1 room. Great location, right in the center. We had a "city view" room on the 25th floor, which did in fact have a nice view. Breakfast at TGIFridays was included for free.

This is my second experience of this hotel and it was every bit as good as my first. The staff is first-rate. The rooms are ... well appointed and very clean. The only disappointment I had was that the ventilation in my room did not work well.

Great hotel - friendly, professional staff, beautiful room, evening reception, and great free breakfast. The only drawback to ... the breakfast is that the room is a little crowded. When the weather is good, you can eat on an outside deck which is lovely.

Family and Business Friendly
Gregory Sep 14, 2008
The Embassey Suites in Philadelphia has a unique layout plan of rooms that took some getting used too. However, its that ... floor plan that make each room so unique. Spacious entry, living, dining room area. Kitchen area clean and plenty of room. I like the bath and bedroom each were separate rooms. A small balcony was a surprise. The neighborhood is good and close to many museums and tourist attractions. Plenty of foot traffic at night made it very comfortable to on the street late into the night. The staff was courteous and helpful. A cocktail hour each night was a great way to see and me others staying at the hotel. It gave a community spirit to the hotel. Not so anonymous and cold. I would definately stay there again!

The hotel itself is beautiful with a great view. Unfortunately this large tower like building under renovation only had two ... elevators working during our visit so just getting to your room was a challenge,,,, especially since the hotel was full. the guest reception is wonderful - the people ... what a delight. the parking situation needs to be revisited, We could not get back to our hotel and needed to cirle the downtown area twice during our visit... this was most annoying. It made our visit very tense... where it did not need to be. Also, twice during our visit did we not have toilet paper.

Nice Weekend Stay
Gwendolyn Mar 30, 2008
My husband and I came to Philly for the Frida Kahlo exhibit (we were able to walk there). The king suite was a separate room ... for the bedroom and had a nice couch for TV watching (there was also a TV in the bedroom). There was also a table, refrigerator, microwave in the room which was nice (the free b-fast was crazy so we brought the food back to the room). We also partook in the free happy hour which was nice, since we had just gotten out of the car from a 3.5 hour drive. I'd definitely stay here again.

Great Location for Historic District
Marta Feb 17, 2008
The Embassy Suites at City Center is within walking distance of City Hall and 2 blocks from the Free Library and the Franklin ... Institute. Our room had a great view of the skyline and we found the staff to be helpful and friendly. The room was big, even by Suites standard, it had ample space in the living room and dining area, it had a big balcony that connected to the bedroom also. The bathroom was adequate, the fixtures were pretty and all the amenities were provided. The bedroom was big, with a nice sliding glass door to the balcony, there were 2 big screened TVs (one for each area), there was ample space in the closet. I liked that the staff was courteous and knowledgeable of the area, provided clear directions when asked and provided maps as well. The breakfast was adequate, the staff was friendly but the area was a bit small for the number of guests.
