We were newlyweds on our first of two honeymoons and were also celebrating my husband's birthday. I found this Embassy ... Suites location on the internet due to its proximity to Epcot. To my surprise it was less expensive and more relaxing than the Embassy Suites on International Drive. Since my first stay at an Embassy Suites hotel I have never found a better place to go. Their rooms are awesome and include a fridge, micro, coffee, iron, blow dryer, two TV's, etc. On top of that, they provide an all you can eat, cooked to order breakfast just for staying there. Plus, two hours every evening they have a Manager's Reception which includes appetizers and an open bar. What more can anyone ask for. Well, let's see - an indoor/outdoor pool, hot tub, fitness room, kid's pool, playground, tennis courts, and more. (For those smokers out there, you are actually able to smoke anywhere outdoors, not off in a corner somewhere!)

Would recommend to a friend!

This is not first tiume to stay at the Embassy Suites Orlando - Lake Buena Vista. As usual our favorite thing about the ... hotel is the location and amenties. I enjoy being able to go down for the Cook to Order Breakfast. Since I travel there with my family location and safety is a huge factor.

Starting to show its age

The hotel was in a good location and the grounds were beautiful. The rooms, however, are starting to show their age a bit. ... Even though the room was clean, the outdated decor and basic amenities made it feel a bit shabby. Still, the hot breakfast and "happy hour" make this Embassy Suites a "Good Deal".

Gentlemen: We will not be staying at Embassy Suites again. The armband that was presented to us as "required" was very poor. ... We are not animals that must be "banded" to use the hotel. This is what happened: We arrived on Saturday. When I approached the check in, I was assured that all was in order and our room was prepaid. But, I would have to wear a band on my arm at all times to indicated that I could use the hotel amenities -- pool, breakfast etc. When I indicated we weren't going to be doing that, the clerk insisted that we had to have bands, he had to put them on, they could not be taken off and we must wear them at all times around the hotl. I asked (rather sarcasticly, I must admit), if I needed to have it on when I showered or went to bed, and he said (not sarcastically!!!), "yes". I realize that you are experiencing unauthorized use of the facilities, but this is NOT how you need to treat guests. By this time he had put the band on. I went and got my husband and explained the situation. He came to the desk and the same routine was repeated. My husband indicated that we are not animals, and that this will be the last time we ever stay at an Embassy Suites. Upon arrival at our room, we immediately cut the bands off, but saved them as a reminder of the incident. Had the clerk handed us the bands, indicated that we needed to use them in certain places, we would have not thought one thing about it.....but we won't be subject to that treatment again!

Clean spacious rooms, friendly staff, GREAT complimentary breakfast buffet. Enjoyed visiting and meeting new people at the ... managers happy hour 5-7pm daily, free drinks and snacks were provided..The hotel provides free scheduled transportation to Disney theme parks.Even the guests were friendly. We were treated like family.

We don't think it was Embassy Suites!

This was the worse Embassy Suites ever! Too many people... we thought we were in line at Seaworld. We could not get near the ... breakfast buffet as there were hordes of people in line. Not sure if they were even staying there. The cocktail reception had cold beer...but what happened to the nice spread Embassy Suites usually provides? We were served chips & popcorn and you guessed it...we had to stand in line! The maid knocked on our door at 7:00AM to clean (Are you kidding me?) And at 2:00AM they called & tried to deliver room service! Did I mention the cloudy pool? The pull out bed wasn't fit for a dog!

Check in went well. Our room was not available early, but the desk took our cell number and called us when it was ready. We ... were in an hour earlier than posted check in. Room was tastefully appointed. The king bed was comfy and plenty of towels were available. The complementary breakfast was made to order. It really was nice, not hard boiled or powdered eggs. Fresh fruit and pastries were also served. The lobby and atrium were tropical and inviting. We will consider staying again.

There were not many things about this place I could complain about. The breakfast was great, the manager's reception was ... great, the staff at the front desk were helpful and friendly. The folks that provide transportation at the hotel, the cab drivers were excellent I had some complaints about Thanksgiving dinner. It appears that it was poorly planned, not the fault of the staff, but the gentleman at the front desk Hector was very helpful in taking care of any issues. If I ever go back to Orlando, this will be the place I will be staying.

The Embassy Suites at Buena Vista is located just 10 minutes from most of the Disney theme parks, making it ideal for ... families who may need to go back to the hotel for a break or nap time. All rooms are convenient suites, with microwaves, refrigerators, and televisions in both the living room and the bedroom. Having two rooms means that kids can go to sleep while parents stay up and enjoy the manager's reception every evening (free drinks), watch a movie and have popcorn, or get some much-needed quiet time. In the morning, there's a made-to-order breakfast to re-fuel everyone before heading off to a park or taking a dip in the pool. The rooms on the first floor are a bit musty, so try to get a room on the upper floors. The room service menu is scant, but the food is very good. There's plenty of delivery and take-out options -- everything from ethnic food to steak or pizza. Downtown Disney is a five-minute drive, with additional food options. A Winn-Dixie (3 minutes away) means it's easy to run out for milk, soda, or snacks. FYI, go ahead and rent one of the many cheap rental cars in Orlando. This hotel is affiliated with Disney and has a free shuttle, but the shuttle makes a long trip around to all the theme parks, meaning that there is no way to go directly from the hotel to the one park you want to visit -- there will always be stops at each of the parks before you get where you're going.

We find the Embassy Suites in Lake Buena Vista to offer us the best of both worlds. It has a great pool with plenty of ... chairs to relax in and also offers a wonderful breakfast to get us energized for the days at the parks. The manager's reception in the evening is a good way to wind down, or recharge before going out to dinner and????. We really enjoy the flexibility of having 2 t.v.s in our room on the few occasions that we spent time there! The refrigerator and microwave give us many options. We usually stop at the grocers and buy a case of juice and water and a few treats and we are happy all trip long. The employees were kind and willing to help, and the rooms have been renovated since our last visit. They seemed cleaner and more comfortable. Next trip to Lake Buena Vista, it's Embassy Suites for us!

Everyone in the family loves this place. Great included breakfast, terrific free cocktails & snacks, lovley place, very ... convienantlocation (Disney, restuarants & Premium outlet shopping). Seperate room with 2 doubles seperated by mini kitchen and bath then large living area with sleeper sofa. Wonderfull when your kids are small or large!

The Embassy Suites Orlando was very good for people in Orlando on business. Nothing beats having a nice, complete, warm meal ... in the morning. I didn't use their shuttle service to get to the Disney theme parks or The Disney Contemporary Resort (where my conference was), so I can't comment on that. However, they did give me a schedule of times their shuttle was running back and forth and that seems like it worked for others. The concierge was great and was able to book a table for 8 right away at a restaurant in Downtown Disney. One drawback was the expensive one way cab I took the airport - although the vehicle (a pretty fancy SUV) was nice, the cost was not. I spent $53 just to travel 20-30 minutes to the airport. I was not happy about that. I would recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Orlando that doesn't want to pay an arm and a leg to stay at a Disney Resort.

The hotel is beautiful, and the food was great. My children had to sleep on the pull out couch because they didn't have a ... room with two double beds, and this would have been ok except the bed was really uncomfortable. It was like sleeping right on the springs. Other than that the pool was great, the happy hour and breakfast were good, and it was very clean. I would definitely go back.
