Fabulous Location

I've stayed at Embassy Suites before and just love them. Because there are 2 rooms my son can sleep on the sofa bed in the ... other room and my husband and I in the other. We get up early so he's not disturbed and we can watch the news on TV in the morning. We love the complimentary breakfast made to order by a chef.

Fantastic Hotel, Location, and Extras!
Pinkerton Watts Jul 9, 2009
My girlfriend and I chose this hotel as a place to stay in Orlando for the 4th of July. The location was perfect as it is ... right next to Lake Eola where the fireworks are. Lake Eola is beautiful on its own, but Orlando really puts on a nice show for the 4th. I travel a lot, and Embassy Suites is always one of the best hotel values around. This one was right in the middle of the action of Orlando, the rooms were spotless, and the extras are always fantastic. By extras I mean the manager's reception (free cocktails and snacks from 5:30-7:30) and the free breakfast. And its a real breakfast, no "continental" cold bagels and warm milk....the real deal...made to order omlettes, waffles, the works. The staff was stellar as well. If I had to complain it would be that it was $18 to valet your car and there was no free internet. There is a parking garage basically across the street that advertised parking for $5 but I was unsure if they allowed cars to stay overnight. I felt safer with the valet. Also, I suppose internet usually costs but other Hilton hotels allow free access, so I was surprised. Its not a huge negative whatsoever, but I wanted to give a comprehensive review. This is a fantastic hotel in a great location. If you want a great place in downtown Orlando, the Embassy Suites is for you!

TONS of nightlife within walking distance. Clubs, bars, you name it, they have it. Shopping, restaurants, and nice theaters are close as well. Streets seemed safe on a Saturday night for pedestrian traffic.

Take a Taxi all the streets are one way and then blocked off for pedistrians.

If you cut through the side of the hotel 1 building east you are able to go directly to the park and restaurants.

Wonderful hotel stay!!
Mother of the Bride May 28, 2009
We had the best time there. It was in next to the Lake Eola park and the City Arts Factory where my daughter was married. ... Our guests also stayed at Embassy Suites which made it very enjoyable. The convenience to restaurants was unbeatable. The lobby was magnificent and the staff very helpful and friendly.

Great location, large rooms (suites), Parking extra though
Michael Aug 31, 2008
This hotel has the best location in Orlando, period. It is the only downtown hotel that is in the midst of the Lake Eola ... neighborhood which is the only part of Orlando where you can actually walk around to many bars, restaurants, shops, etc. The hotel itself is nice, large clean rooms, looks fairly new, breakfast is fine. cooked to order makes it sound better than it is... I think they will cook you an omelette if you want to wait in a long line but that's it, otherwise it's a normal buffet. Main downside is you must pay an extra $15 for valet parking. The line for retrieving your car in the morning is huge and take forever. If you don't call ahead expect to wait 30 minutes. Even if you do call ahead you will wait 10 minutes from the time you arrive. Next time I'm going to try and park the car myself at a garage nearby. This is not the hotel to stay it if you are in Orlando for theme parks or shopping, all of those things are very far away from downtown. The crowd in this hotel is more of the type that is the typical downtown orlando crowd, 25-50 year old people going out drinking/partying. Not families. But no reason to feel weird or unsafe with kids either, and I haven't had any noise problems.
