High Rise in the Low Country

We had a very enjoyable stay. Visited over the Labor Day weekend, and were assigned to a room on the 17th floor. We asked ... for something closer to earth and they were able to accomodate us with a nice room on the tenth. A little extra effort but it's the sort of thing that will bring us back.

This was our second trip to Embassy @ Kingston Plantation. It is a great spot to take the little ones as they have a water ... park on site. Dining at the resort was very pricey, especially given we were ordering for 2 kids under 5. There are places to eat just off site though - many of which don't even require you to get on the main road. The hotel was packed for the holiday weekend, but Myrtle is a great place to spend the 4th of July. Fireworks were right on the beach and continued for quite a while.

WalMart is just up the road, so no need to pack the car full of groceries, etc. You can get everything you need right there without paying resort-town prices.

Good hotel and overall experience. Room was clean, bathroom was a bit small but we managed. Beds, linens and pillows were all ... clean and comfortable. Mini fridge and microwave also came in handy. Great location right on the beach, plus the water park kept the kids entertained for hours. Complimentary breakfast was standard, nothing fancy although the lines did get long at times. No issues with waiting for the elevator as others mentioned. Staff was very helpful and polite. Restaurant selection was the only thing lacking, but I would absolutely go back.

Very efficient staff. My room was upgraded when my requested room requirements were not available. Room service was very ... inadeauate but this certainly would not influence my decision to revisit the hotel.
