It is a nice walk to the strip, from the back way....
--Mspee, Compton, CA Jun 7, 2009
Take the tram if 2 or less people in you party. Take a cab if between 2 and 4. With 4 people in you party it comes out to 3 dollars per person to get to the strip....not too bad.

Nice/Great Hotel, HORRIBLE ROOM-UNCLEAN
Mspee Jun 7, 2009
The experience at the hotel was just okay. Enjoyed the Happy hour..... There was toe/finger-nails on the livingroom floor, ... meaning that the floor hadn't been vaccumed. Also, while taking a shower, the drain began to back up, with alot of long hair and water.. This was very nasty and scary. The Comp breakfast was nice, but had to wait for housing keeping to clean up the water in the bathroom, because of the back up, which almost made me miss breakfast, because we were waiting for maintanence to come and clean the hair and see/fix the problem... My kids did go swimming, whirlpool is nice, as well as the pool.... This does not compare to my previous trip... I was at The Tahiti Village, and it was awesome..... This room was not great... I do recommend the hotel, but house keeping and mantanience needs to be kept up.... Hotel could not offer me anything for my dissatisfication/dissapointment, because I purchased the room from Orbitz.

Little bit from the strip/good value
punkhunter May 10, 2009
Clean room, good value, free breakfast that has a wide range of items... Only bad thing is it is about 11-12 dollars for a ... cab to the strip one way. 4 block walk to the tram that costs 5 dollars each to the strip one way. We were two hours early and called ahead, they had our room ready for us!

Great New Year's in Vegas
Doris Jan 2, 2009
Great hotel!!!!! Just far enough away from the strip. A+ in our book. Love to travel and have the suite style of rooms. ... Terrific value. Quiet, clean and comfortable. Friendly, professional staff. We try to stay at Embassy Suites whenever possible.

Great place, bad roomservice food
Scott Oct 27, 2008
Very nice hotel, everything was just great except that the room service food was plain terrible. Oh and the room was ... completely sealed up...no windows to open for air.

Family friendly
Bonnie Jul 6, 2008
The Embassy Suites was very family friendly. Although it was in Las Vegas, there were no gambling machines around. That in ... itself made it all worth the money. The pool was nice and clean. The breakfast is great, as usual. The fact that it had a shuttle to the strip was nice however, it would have been nice if they had a shuttle to both ends of the strip.

Great Value for all the amenities
Diana Jun 23, 2008
Embassy Suites are known for their cleanliness and their amenities. The complementary manager cocktail hours and the made to ... order breakfast are fantastic! The only downside is that the pool was indoors. I am not a fan of indoor pools because of the humidity.

Great for visiting business folk.
Kate Sep 28, 2007
I chose this hotel so that I could conduct interviews in a secure and comfortable area, without having a bed in the room! ... The staff were attentive and polite to the interviewees who arrived to see me and I felt they were interested in doing their best to make all guests comfortable. A great business hotel.

You are far enough away from the strip to ignore it and close enough to get there easily if you are tempted. Good access to the airpor too.
