"great experience, beautiful hotel"

Brittany Aug 26, 2009

Would recommend to a friend!

I booked this 2 dbl bed 2 room hotel room for a bachelorette party weekend for my girlfriends. Everything was fantastic! ... The living area was huge equipped with a nicely sized refrigerator, a microwave, kitchen counter, and sink. The staff was great - I forgot to pack a can opener and the shredded cheese for an appetizer I was attempting to prepare and the kitchen staff gladly helped out! The room was clean, the beds were comfortable, and the bathroom was large. The hotel is located downtown and makes for easy travel to local events. The hotel also provides a free shuttle. Every one of the staff members I encountered was cheerful and more than willing to help. Overall great experience and the price was great!

The staff were very helpful and friendly!! The shuttle took us to dinner,Rock and Roll Hall Of Fame and to Progressive Field ... to watch an Indians game-so convenient-we parked our car for the time we were there. The breakfast was free and had many things to choose from and the coffee was good!! I would recommend this to anyone looking for a good location at a decent price!

Unbeatable location for the price

Love to Travel Aug 10, 2009

Would recommend to a friend!

The hotel has roomy, clean suites. The breakfast was very nice. The hotel staff was very pleasant. The only complaints I ... have was the elevators were slow, we sometimes had to wait for at least 5 minutes before one came to our floor. Also the valet service is quite slow (around 10-15 minutes). We had to park using valet because our truck was too tall for the parking garage 6'3". It costs $15 every time you exit the parking garage or $18 for valet service with in and out privileges. So everyone was choosing the valet of course.

It wasn't great. It wasnt awful.

Unimpressed Aug 6, 2009

I wasn't in love with this particular Embassy Suites property. Construction was not planned well so elevator usage was ... unacceptably inconvenient. My room was in a very high traffic area and was right next to an outdoor area (on the 5th floor) that was rather busy late at night. Also, I killed at least one spider every single day of my 4-night stay along with some beetle looking bug one day that was hanging out on the ironing board. There were spiders everywhere. I had to shake everything out before packing to make sure I didn't bring any visitors home with me. I won't stay at that particular property anymore.

Hotel gave our room away!

m Aug 2, 2009

We put in special instructions to have later arrival came an hour after arrival time and our room was gone. Our room was paid ... for and it was given to someone else becuase they were sold out. We are a family with a baby a big inconvience and we missed the first innings of the baseball game we came into town for because of this hotel issue. Couldn't fina another room in downtown a complete disappointment as the rest of our friends were in downtown. We are completely dissatifed with this service of the way we puchased this hotel through orbitz and the Embassey very poor as we already paid for our room upfront to guarentee a room.

Crowded but a good value

Stephanie Nov 16, 2008

Would recommend to a friend!

The Embassy Suites in downtown Cleveland was a very nice hotel. Our room was extremely spacious and comfortable with plenty ... of great features. The full breakfast was great. The area was nice with lots to do nearby. However, I had two major concerns- in the pool area children were doing back flips and diving into the 4 foot deep pool while the staff member who was supposed to be preventing such things read a magazine instead. The second was that there was a very loud hotel party nearby that went on until at least 4 am and the hotel personnel apparently did nothing to quiet it. Overall we had a very pleasant experience and I definitely recommend this hotel.
