we took a 7 days vacation in Boston and stay at Embassy Suites at Logan Airport location. we did not rent a car in Boston ... because the subway is just about 5 minutes away from our hotel and well lighted. Subway run until midnight so we never had any problem to get back. We purchased a 7 days pass and this pass allowed us to use subway, bus, and water ferry. We used this pass to get all over Boston and its surrouding areas. There was no free parking at the hotel. It charges $32.00 per day. Not much thing to do at the airport.

Okay for a quick stay
Lisa H Jun 26, 2009
The two room suite with fold out sofa bed was a life saver when traveling with our 20 year old son and 7 year old daughter. ... Our son got his privacy and his own TV and could stay up late without disturbing the younger and older generations he was traveling with. The indoor pool was a bonus given the rain. The restaurant was mediocre and did not offer that many vegetarian choices. Parking was outrageous. We opted to venture out into the surrounding neighborhood to park the car. Overall the room was clean and staff friendly.

For dinner for the 7-22 year olds in our group we loved Mr. Bartley's Burger Cottage in Harvard Square. Huge, juicy burgers in interesting combinations. Cozy, college atmosphere. Loud, fun, right next to Harvard Book Store. For lunch we had fast, great service, delicious fish & chips and historic atmosphere at Green Dragon Tavern along Freedom Trail. Not touristy. Colonial quotes, dark wood, toile panels. A welcome respite.

The service was very good, from the shuttle service to and from the airport, to check in and out, and in between. The ... service was prompt and efficient. The two room suite was very adequate with plenty of space for three of us. We did not use the kitchenette but it would be great for a longer stay than our overnight visit. I would certainly recommend the hotel to friends and would use it again.

Not bad
Robert Mar 19, 2008
The staff was always cheerful and did their best to be helpful. The cleaning crew always made up the beds and kept the ... bathroom clean and the breakfast selection was one of the better ones that I have seen. Their customized omelets are great and everything was fresh. I particularly enjoyed the free USA today, which was left at the door every weekday. The shuttle to the airport was a lifesaver and the subway access proved helpful after we abandoned the car rental. Although I would recommend this hotel, I don't believe I would stay again at an Embassy. Nothing against the hotel, but I could have gotten most of the same amenities at cheaper and lesser rated hotels. I tried a fancy hotel because usually, I don't stay at fancy hotels. I am more of a bed/breakfast or small hotel person.

Subway. Take the blue line into the city and you will become quite familiar with the ins and outs of Boston in one day, I guarantee. Better than driving on the streets and you'll save from having to pay valet.

Embassy Suites at Logan Airport
Manuel Jun 23, 2007
I was satisfied with the Hotel in general. The room service was excellent, the bed and pillows were very comfortable and the ... provided breakfast was superb. But I had a rental car, and the hotel property only provided valet parking at $30 per day which I found absolutely ridiculous. No way I was going to pay $210 for parking fees for the 7 day stay. I was forced to park in the street every night and walk 1 to 2 blocks back to the hotel. Not nice.

The rooms were nice and the bed was cozy. We enjoyed the cook to oder breakfast. We were surprised at check in that the ... only parking available was valet at 30 bucks a night! Other than that, our stay was nice. It is close to the Airport and the hotel will shuttle you back and forth so you can catch the subway to all the local attractions.

Warehouse for a hotel
Michael Jun 11, 2007
The interior of this hotel is a warehouse, with halogen lighting (even in the overpriced restaurant in the middle of the ... warehouse). While convenient to the airport it is convenient to nothing else. The subway terminal into town is about a half a mile away, it is quicker to walk to/from the terminal than wait for a ride - which in the spring and fall is not bad because the walk is through a park area, but I could only imagine the walk in the heat of summer or the snowfall of winter. Though I would point out that walking to the subway terminal is attractive when you realize that the IRT subway drivers in NYC speeding between 34th and 14th streets have something in common with Embassy's shuttle bus drivers. The rooms are fine and the service is adequate -- though it would be good to talk with someone at an Embassy Suites that was not ESL and occasionally when convenient hide behind the language disability. It is just that you feel walking into the hotel that you are entering a warehouse just off of the airport. That feeling is compounded by the geographic surroundings -- rental car facilities and parking areas. Generally, I prefer to stay at Embassy Suites, but I would only stay here if I was holding a meeting and had people coming TO me -- though the $30 for parking might discourage those coming to the meeting (and, no, there is no where else to park...unless they are coming to drop off a rental car).

Great staff!
john Jun 9, 2007
The staff is fantastic. We made a wrong turn and ended up on the wrong side of a barricade in the middle of the street the ... hotel is on. A staff person actually got in our car to navigate us to the entrance. A hotel manager also assisted my wife who was late going to breakfast. The rooms were comfortable. There are no stores or restaurants within view of the hotel, but the T station is very close. The surrounding area appeared safe and we walked from the T station to the hotel after dark. The biggest drawback is the restaurant closes between breakfast and lunch and lunch and dinner. Don't arrive hungry. An extra treat would have been free internet.
