The Cano is still an excellent hotel, in spite of the many years it has been operating. Clean with a view that is worth a ... million from every room. Except for the total lack of services after 11PM, no room service, not any possibility for evern a Coke.

Hotel El Cano
Princess Yazita May 5, 2009
While my son and I stayed at this hotel, we went to El Cici(water park)Swam with dolphines, went to the beach, ate the yummy ... food at the restaurant and of course just relaxed by the pool. The view from our room was amazing! Everything was fine, until one of the hotel drivers from the valet parking almost run over my son and I while we were walking. The driver was very rude and didn't even apoligized. My 7yr. old son, got scared and thought the driver wanted to hit us. I went and complained at the front desk, which I dout they even talk to this person. Besides that insident, every one else was great.

Great Location, Great Value
Michael Nov 17, 2008
We stayed at Hotel El Cano for two days and it was very clean and comfortable. We spent the first night in the pool and our ... second day on the beach. We had breakfast at the hotel as it was convenient. The breakfast buffet was good but slightly expensive. At the beach we had a messenero (waiter) bringing us drinks in between spending time in the ocean Very relaxing. Our room was on the 8th floor and we had good views but could hear the boom, boom, boom of the nightlife late in the morning. Second night we closed the door to the balcony.

My review of El Cano Acapulco
Diane Jun 12, 2008
The Elcano Hotel Acapulco is clean, comfortable with a very friendly staff. The food and service was excellent. The hotel ... is right on the beach. The beds are a little hard but that is common in Mexico. Maid service was exceptional. I would recommond this hotel to friends and would stay there again.

El Cano is near El Jaguar restaurant, which we liked. Also the Hard Rock Cafe and Planet Hollywood, La Tortuga and many more excellent resaurants are a short walk. WalMart is within walking distance also.

Okay...staryed in better hotels in Mexico
Maria Mar 17, 2008
I was overall satisfied with this hotel. During check-in the people at the front desk basically ignored us. Finally, after ... about 20 minutes we were able to get the clerks attention. I was also disappointed with the hotel security...there was none. We had a room on the second floor with a door in the room that lead to a balcony. My roommate kept leaving the balcony door unlocked, especially at night and I felt that anyone could come onto the property and climb up...it's been done in Mexico before. Other than those two complaints the Hotel was Okay for Mexico. My expectations were not high so that is probably why is was okay. The room was spacious, with two queen size beds, however, you could tell that the building was an old building and had been modernized, however, some of the furniture was still pretty bruised. I did appreciate the fact that there was a wall safe in the closet for our personal items.
