Not fancy, but convenient and cheap
Minnie Nov 23, 2009
The hotel was in an excellent location in downtown Memphis, but was hard to find with obscure signs. It was located over a ... garage, and was priced reasonably. I got what I paid for. Nothing fancy or elaborate. It was clean, comfortable, with pleasant employees at the desk. The other room had lights out in the bathroom, but no one was called to fix it. We went for a business trip, only spent the night in the hotel, and were satisfied.

If you have a conference at one of the expensive hotels close by, stay here and walk a couple of blocks. If you are paying for yourself, or trying to save money for a non-profit, and at meetings all day, this motel would save you money.

Great Location
Viva Nov 19, 2009
The hotel was in a great location, within walking distance from EVERYTHING from the FedEx Forum to Beale St. The hotel even ... had a great Jazz and Blues Club downstairs. Unfortunately, the walls in the rooms are paper thin and I could literally hear my brother breathing in the room next door.
Traveler type: Family
Be prepared to spend at least two nights taking in Beale St. It is so much to see and do, from BB King's restaurant to Coyote Ugly.

Worth It for a weekend getaway on Beale
Drinker Nov 16, 2009
Internet Service is only in the 8x10 loud lobby. So do not think you get it in your room. You have to go get a hairdryer ... there is not one in the room as stated. The elevators are accessed from the outside in a parking garage not from the lobby. You get what you pay for. The Staff was very friendly. The bed was comfy enough and the proximity to everything is great. Don't go there for a honeymoon but stay there on a bender. I am sure we will go back just for the price and proximity. Oh and if you are taller than 5'-6" you will have to duck to use the shower head.

Beale Street is a short walk with great access to AutoZone Park, Peabody, etc... Will stay again with friends if we go down there to party or go to a aball game.

unbeatable location for the price
ladylaker Oct 26, 2009
The location for the price is ideal. Try to find something close to downtown and Beale St. for the price. Not exactly in good ... shape, but giving it their best shot considering the nightly rate. A good place to stay if you're just going to use it as a place to lay your head & shower. I did not have time to try amenities. The breakfast is simple, bagels, sweet rolls, coffe and juice. Thats it!
