I am from Charlotte and knew this was in a great location. I wanted to stay in this area because I was bringing my girlfriend ... up and wanted to be near a mall and dining. This hotel was better than expected. Very clean, very friendly staff and the breakfast was great (free) there is also free dinner and drinks from 5-7 i think. Rooms were nice, and thebathrooms were as well. I would look into staying at other locations in the future!

I recieved a check out sheet under my door prior to checking out and the total price of the room with tax was around 82 ... dollars....71.99 for the one night room charge. I showed it to the desk receptionist and she would not give it back to me and said that she could not give me a refund on the difference of what I was charged of 89.00 for the night. I think this was totally unappropriate. [...]

I went down to for a long weekend trip to Carowinds with my 5-year-old daughter and chose this hotel because it was at the ... top of the ratings site I was looking at for Charlotte, NC, even though it was a little out of the way in relation to Carowinds. I wasn't disappointed. For the price range, I don't think it can be beat. It all comes down to what people like in a hotel, but I personally liked the fact that it was basically right next to a HUGE mall and tons of good restaurants. So we were able to drive or even walk around the area and have our pick of lots of places to eat and shop. I-77 is literally RIGHT there also so access to there is very easy. Don't expect any kind of weights or strength machines in the fitness room. It was was small and only cardio stuff in there from what I saw from the pool where I wasn't working out :) Included hot buffet breakfast was awesome.

The hotel is very new and clean. The rooms are nice and the bathrooms large with marble floors. There is a manager's ... reception with 3 free cocktails per person daily. Very helpful staff.
